I’ve probably messaged a dozen ads, and it seems everyone wants some form of a deposit or booking fee. Looking for suggestions in Richmond/Vancouver area but honestly I’ll still do Surrey or New West if that’s required.

Deposits are usually a good indicator it's a scam. Unfortunately the photos they use are usually super hot so a lot of guys fall for them. There are some websites that have a lot of fake ads; LL in particular but there's also a lot more on SMC as of late.
I wouldn’t say that this is quite true across the board. I wouldn’t pay deposit to some random LL person with no reviews.
What you want to do is find someone with good reviews here, and then you can be fairly comfortable paying a deposit.

I've never paid a deposit or a booking fee as mentioned by the OP. I saw a provider once who later decided to start requesting deposits due to all the no shows etc. so I could understand it from her end, but to me it is a red flag and too much of a risk; never saw her again.
I appreciate this site and it's great to see what others are saying about their shared experiences, but we're still taking a bit of a gamble.

Seems like I post this PSA every few months. The LL transgender forum is full of fake ads. Maybe 1 in 4 or 5 is legit, less if the provider is Caucasian. If she's not reviewed here or elsewhere, it's likely because she doesn't exist. It's a problem in every city in the country. It's not confined to the TS ads, but that forum is especially bad for it.
Even some of the verified ones are fake. Some giveaways are insane measurements, height, weight. Rates less than 300. Mentions of telegram or whatsapp, snapchat instead of texting. Any demand for a deposit by someone who is not well reviewed. Ads in multiple cities at once. Fake pics of a TS pornstar, pics don't match the description, Caucasian woman in pic, Asian listed or vice versa. Available 24/7, selling online pics/videos prominently. When you do contact them, the first thing they ask is what city you are in.

Here's one example. 6 feet, 6 inches tall, A cup listed, C or D in the pic, snapchat. If you email the ad, you will most likely get added to all kinds of spam lists.
You can try ShemaleCanada.com, they are a perb advertiser, very legit site and do a better job of weeding out the scammers.

Well said sir. I have seen some scammers on ShemaleCanada but yes, it seems to be much less than Leolist. I get way less spam emails and phone calls than I did once did in the past; at one time it was ridiculous. I'm very happy I found this perb forum; thanks.
I just suggested her as both Janis and her twin sister( they don't play together we've tried) I met her some years back. Saw her sister a short time ago. It takes me forever to connect with anyone because of my job. But she is nice they both are. Older but we all are. And reasonably priced.
