Dont worry I already searched and found the threads about RMT's, but I wanted to know if anyone has found one that will provide a reciept I can submit to my health insurance for the massage.

ALL RMTs PROVIDE RECEIPTS FOR INSURANCE

If you are looking for a receipt from a non RMT then all you have is a piece of paper.
I am looking for an RMT, but I want one who will provide a health reciept. I contacted a few of the RMTs mentioned in other posts but it seems alot of them are no longer registered and dont provide reciepts.

Really? I visit legit RMT's on a regular basis since my plan covers it, and all the ones I contacted always provide a receipt.

Of course, if you're trying to find an MP that will give your a receipt for sexual services, good luck with that. Even if she has an RMT designation, I doubt she'll use her stamp at an "adult entertainment" establishment.

Basically I was hoping for an RMT that would provide adult services as well, but just provide a reciept for the massage portion of the session. I guess if they dont exist then Im out of luck.

I thought you said earlier that you did a search on this topic.

If you really did then you wouldn't be wasting bandwidth.

If you actually did read all the threads you'd come to the realization that such a thing does not exist.

O.K., Jim, I gotta ask, "Crap, do you know everything?"
Presently, any girl with a RMT designation and a AMTWP number or equivalent could, under her own name, provide a receipt. Whether she provides you, personally, with a 1 hour or 1 1/2 hour theraputic massage or blows a penguin up your ass is irrelevant. What insurance needs is an association number, name and date.
The key to obtaining a professioanl designation as a R.M.T. is not to show up on the "I'm a busted hooker" platform. And before you rag me for the hooker comment, it's just pointing out the obvious. With accredited training a male or female becomes a certified massage therapist (It aint an easy pull, though, were talking thousands of hours of training).
Girlz, get certified, registered and go to town!

So an SP has to take thousands of hours of schooling and give out her legal name to every john who asks for it? What's in it for her?

(the only things I can think of is that she can maybe set herself up as an RMT when she quits the biz, or she can tap into the pooner market of guys who are trying to scam medical coverage for pooning, neither of which seem all that compelling, to be honest...)

I didn't say it was a good idea. I'm just pointing out that it is possible to reclaim from your insurance treatment for a "pulled muscle"...:)

Many basic insurance coverages only provide for around $$$ coverage in a year. Oh well, one freebie aint bad!

The "R" in RMT STANDS for Registered if I am not mistaken so not sure how it can be that an RMT is no longer registered. All massage therapists I have been to have issued a receipt which I have in turn submitted to my health insurance company for re-imbursement up to the amount they cover. Hope that helps.

I do not know everything but pretty close.

Alyson summed it up pretty well. An RMT has to provide a receipt that includes the business address etc. Yeah I guess she could do try to circumvent the rules by saying she's at an address that is not an 'adult entertainment establishment but as threepeat said what's in it for her?

A typical RMT session will run you $75 to $105 for an hour. So you get 5 GFE experiences where you are out of pocket $200? (Most plans have a $500 limit on massage). (another thing I know) So for you to save $500 a gal is suppose to invest thousands of hours in training and then risk an insurance fraud charge? Hmmm perhaps you might be charged too.

Is it really worth it?

I am registered. I also would NEVER give a reciept for a massage that was more than just a massage. It's just not ethical or fair to other RMT's that work very hard just so someone can save a few extra bucks on services. If you have benefits that cover that I suggest you use them at a legit spa. Don't let them go to waste.

Alyson, go to the nhpc website. They have changed the requirements and its now based on what school you went to. You submit all your certificates and they review them. There is a list of schools and each one has what level they start to register you at. So even if you don't have enough hours they also have listings of part time courses they recognize. Hope that helps.

I shold claify (and perhaps becaue I misunderstood the original post in this thread) I was referring to a "legit" place when I said I always got a receipt and submitted it. Sorry if I mislead and perhaps it never was an issue getting a receipt from a legit place
