Just a question for you mechanically inclined individuals. Does anyone know where I could find a mechanics manual for a combine online? If I go through the dealer it costs $150, which I think is a tad expensive. Not sure if Amazon carries these. Thankx. And no, Im not a hic from the stix.

What manufacturer of combine? What model?

Idiot search in Google for "deere combine manual" yields many hits - some of which were actually manuals.

More info would narrow the hits.

What make and model of a combine?

One thing to do is go to antique and collectors shows as there is bound to be somebody with what you're looking for or them knowing some one who does. Also take a trip through the yellow pages for places that sell collectibles. And contact the manufacturer of the combine, if they are still in business. They might have something.

Best of luck!

$150 isn't bad if it's the official one that all the dealer mechanics use... I would avoid the cheapy unofficial ones... they always tend to skip steps or are hard to understand... they're cheap for a reason. The ones for my car cost about $2000! have u tried helminc.com? They carry a lot of the popular OFFICIAL manuals. My old car's manual only cost about $50.

and as for you mr. Hitrack, if that is your real name, what can I say? it was just standing there, looking soooo innocent, plus the cost was two browns and a green. Did I mention that the combine was a Cockshutt?
