Hi Guys just to let everyone know, I will be retiring as an SP as of the end of September. Legends is for sale and has several interested buyers looking at it.
Well then, I will have to bang you for one last time as a means of wishing you good luck in your future endeavors!!! ;)

So I gather that Ariel is bowing out as well?

I think. . .

Ariel will stay on (or is willing to stay on) to manage the place for a while (while there are girls left to manage) and probably will move to a new studio when it's up and running.

As far as the ad, it's in section 0802 (Business Opportunities) of the Sun Classifieds for this week just before the Adult Massage ads (3000).

Hi Guys just to let everyone know, I will be retiring as an SP as of the end of September. Legends is for sale and has several interested buyers looking at it. I think this thread is extremely rude and insulting and I have no idea what it is doing on a REVIEW board. You guys do not know how much money was put into Legends or how much income it is generating. Our asking price is not far off of the selling price of the last Edmonton studio that was generating almost as much business. Looking forward to seeing you all before I leave.
Last I heard Rythm included the house, and Fantasy was in the 225-250k range, and before Aviana bought it it was the number 1 studio, too bad she crashed and burned.

I'd guess you put about 100k worth into the place (but still no proper sign), and doubt if you bought kama sutra for more than 200K (it was barely a B grade studio)

As for income being generated, let's look at that a bit more closely:

If the original investors already want their investment back now rather than waiting that indicates a poor cash flow has not paid them the returns they were promised/expected, therefore the volume is much lower than expected

I think the original investors . . .

already have their money back. Legends was making at least twice (if not three times the sales volume of the next leading competitor in it's (almost) one year in business). This is a case of selling high - "strike when the iron is hot" because there is only one direction it's heading. So, the challenge is to find an uninformed and unsuspecting "investor" who has little or no clue as to how this business works (definitely not a perber) and get him to pay the asking price.

I'm just wondering how long it will take to find one and what the final sale price would be - remember it's the final sale price that matters (not the asking price - that's just the starting point for negotiations).

BTW: I don't think the building is part of the deal - $400 K would only get you a decent sized house in the suburbs - not a two-storey commercial building close to downtown. I think they're just leasing the space (just like the other businesses there).

Ruffus, I was addressing the thread starter who called the owners idiots. Is that not insulting? Why did you address my comments? Do you post under two handles?

There is not an Edmonton thread for general discussion. Unfortunately, the percentage of actual reviews is low. Unbiased and decent reviews even fewer. How many do you have?
If you were referring to the thread starter, I did not see the quote or reference. Say what you mean.

I addressed your comments because you made them. Did I mis-quote you?

Why would you say that I post under multiple handles? Now that IS insulting!

The last sentence does not need a response, it shows your seventh-grade-schoolyard mentality. Grow up!

Good Luck

Whoever the investors are, I hope you get a fair deal to cover your investments and make some coin too.

Personally, I have always been leery of buying goodwill. The goodwill was established by the sellers and to expect the same results (even if it is myself buying) is a big gamble. Buy the assets yes, but the staff are not something you can buy, which is why this Parlor did so well. They were all part of the experience & success. A new owner will have to start from scratch, building their own goodwill (with the clientele and any staff who stay on). Otherwise, it will be for sale again soon, or just shut down.

what i dont understand is why is it anyones business except Nikita's, what legends is selling for. unless you have a vested interest in it, why does it matter. none of us know what was put into the old Kama Sutra to transform it into Legends. if Nikita makes a boat load than that is good on her. and if she doesnt, than she doesnt. speculating about things that are none of our business is disgusting.

Nikita, i wish you all the best in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully this answers a few questions.....

Ariel will stay on (or is willing to stay on) to manage the place for a while (while there are girls left to manage) and probably will move to a new studio when it's up and running.
Here's the real deal boys & girls..... Nikita is selling her shares & leaving edmonton :( for an amazing opportunity elsewhere......Ariel is selling her shares because Nikita is & "you don't go broke taking a profit;) " Ariel is offering to stay on as management to any investor who just wants to collect the profit:eek: .....
In this case, nothing changes:p ....

Legends has become so successful because of a lot of blood sweat & tears. We have systems (created through trial & error) on everything from administration to recruiting new talent. Now providing the new owner follows our recipe, nothing changes:p .....

$400 000 = $20,000/month profit
Easy math:D

No one has ever sold a business that was making money - otherwise Coca Cola would have been sold a long time ago. . .Wayne Gretzy was still a hot commodity when Peter Puck sold him - because he knew that selling him at the time would get him the biggest $$$ for his ''investment" (Wayne was at his peak at the time and therefore there was no way but down for him)

Calgs
Take your 400K, grease some palms in CALGARY, open a new place, it's an untapped market...
A bit more risky but look at the possibilities...
No real competition - well the H/A might pay a visit, who knows, might even get featured on VENTURE...
Move over HEF, ya old geezer..!

Kendra and Nikita

Sounds like the same reason Kendra is leaving town, doesn't it? And at the same time too.
were the two SP's I alluded to that were planning to pull the plug in an earlier post. I wonder how many top earning SP's are planning to bolt as well - where does that leave the popular studio?

Sweetie :p we've had quite a few all stars come & go...it's the nature of the industry....we lost Misha & Ashlee @ the same time:eek: But it didn't effect the #'s Truth be told, a GOOD receptionist is harder to find than a GOOD SP

Meow:p My appologies, I'll have to be more specific in future. I'd rather not grow up then take myself so seriously as to be offended by a post on here.
Big

great post. I overreacted. Not sure why other than pent-up sexual frustration trying to arrange my next session (which will be reviewed). Serious apologies from here and keep on posting big guy! Same goes for others who had to tolerate this (me) hijacking the thread.

Ruffus

p.s. FYI background information. Most of my sessions are with 'retired' or off-board providers who do NOT want publicity. Thus, very few reviews from me. More apologizes I suppose.

Actually on average over nine million Coca Cola shares are sold on every day the market is open. In a one year period that adds up to 2.1 billion shares, out of a total of 2.3 billion shares. So essentially Coca Cola is sold every year. I am pretty sure that if one was inclined to do a little research we would find that a number of companies are sold that are making money. I find it hard to believe that every company that has ever been sold was losing money.

Thanks to Legends

Back on topic...

Thanks to Legends for clearing things up when they really did not have to.

The only thing we need to do is to see if the Legends Standard can tolerate this change. No reason that it cannot, especially if Ariel is there to smooth over the change. The Legends standard was my most pleasant suprise when I returned to the commercial side of the hobby early this year.

Time will tell

My god, we all have become BNN instead of PERB. Legends aside, does everyone else here have nothing else to do but be negative, which it seems so many people are very good at here.

I am not going to flame anyone, pick on anyone, but my comments are held in general.

From the day Legends has opened, dudes here have been on the attack. Everyone constantly trying to find faults both big and small.

What is Legends worth? The answer is easy, what ever someone is willing to pay for it.

Would half PERBerts buy a studio at that price? I doubt it, when so many guys whimper about paying $ 60 bucks more for some extra attention. They sure in the hell are not going to spend 400k for any more attention.

What in the hell do half us really know about running a MP? half the folks making all these comments never would have made it this far.

As far as the new owners, we will have to wait and see.

Nikita has been a good SP for many years, and has given all of us a lot of fond memories. This is how we treat her in the end.

She is selling her studio, they have not offened anyone here, hurt or insulted anyone. Yet some folks here need to go on the rampage.

It seems petty, vendictive and pointless.

Some folks here need to get out, get laid and go on with life,

way than enough said...

Well said Fiddy..... I have watched this thread grow in so fast ... There is another thread I been watching for a few days about a SP being murdered and it hasnt had the attention this thread has had... Whata shame eh...

What's up with that? It still says Kama Sutra on the outside.

Funny that it didn't take Alyson very long to get a nice new sign put up outside her studio and I'm sure she doesn't have the bankroll/backers that Legends does.

I think most of us find this hillarious.
I know I do.
People spend money on bad buissness investments everyday, dosent mean thats any excuse for us to not laugh at them.
