So I'm sitting at home on Tuesday an I get a text "who is this". It's from a 236 number which I didn't realize was a new bc area code so I just ignored it. A few more texts asking who I was so I decided to respond a bit. I answered some questions like who is this ? With "just a guy". After a few they said they knew my name (and they did) called me a pervert and asked how old I was. They also said they knew where I lived. I invited them over for a beer and they said they would come (obviously never did).

At one point they texted "sorry that's my little sister" but it came from the same number. They also called me "bro" at one point. Not sure if the texts were from a guy or girl. I thought girl until near the end of the conversation.

Not sure who the texts were from but it's obvious a girl who has my name in her contacts had her phone accessed by someone. Let me know if anyone else had this happen and we can figure out who it came from. I don't see a lot of girls so I have some suspicions.

It might be an idea to contact the ladies you have seen and let them know someone has access to their phone. I'd use a pay phone to call or get a prepaid.

dude chill out there are a number of these scams where what happens is the scamer tries to pretend they are some sort of threat to you usually followed by a reqest for your credit card or cash . When they used the" i know where you live" threat l and instead of being threatend you invited them over for a beer they realized you would not be a good target for a fear based scam . I get the I know what you did and i think it;s disgusting click here to save your reputation now emails all the time.

however buying a cheap cell phone for pooning olny is not a bad idea get one of those pay as you go ones from seven eleven or wall mart or whatever.

Emails are one thing but texts are different. That they knew my name and a few other details led me to know 100% that they had someone's phone.

It's not a huge deal but getting unsolicitated texts regarding this hobby can be dangerous.

My buddy's kid buys/sells/fixes cell phones in his spare time. Most people give him their old phone without clearing any data.

Another PITA are SPs who send out emails to "ALL" and you see all their client addresses, often corporate emails.

Really? I just thought that if someone were using their phone to harass or scare off their clients it would definitely affect their ability to earn a living.

Being something of a sub i rather enjoy it when a woman tells me what to do, however I haven't paid you a fee to post here so I believe I will forgo 'thinking about it again'.

No. You don't do that.

Or he could just wait a day or two and call the number that contacted him originally and let them know about the text. I wouldn't expect him to go down an 'extensive' list and tell them that someone is messing with their phone.
