General PERB website question:

I noticed on the right, a thing called "Latest Profile Posts", but checking it out (for the first time), it seemed to me a bit like people had mistaken it for private messages.
Seems a bit of intrusive sort of thing, so I am wondering what other people think about it vis-a-vis privacy?

I think it's a thing about not understanding how to make these posts private. I mean seeing Perbite 123 asking SP 456 for a date out in the open is a bit on the exhibitionist side in my opinion.

It’s also a haven for unpaid advertising, I guess they think we don’t look at it and how many times do you see “Fred Zed pls delete my account“ there are several threads how to get your account deleted. I don’t think a lot of people realize what’s posted there is viewable by anyone!

I agree that it's intrusive, or conversely, exhibitionistic. I never, ever use profile posts myself. If someone tries to send me a message via profile post, I just ignore it.
