Too much work

Obviously, they're going for the low hanging fruit. If they were really serious about enforcing Bill C-36, they would be going after the pimps that are running their "24/7, party friendly, 20 something" ladies out of the airport hotels. Or they'd be going after the people trafficking the latest Asian lady getting posted on BP. That would be some real police work.
The fact is that LE is basically lazy. When they sting a consumer there is no real work left to be done. We don't fight it, we don't lawyer up. To get the pimps LE would have to do actual police work. Maybe even pull out a gun. It is too dangerous for them to confront real criminals when they can target pooners.

ABSOLUTELY. BANG ON.:clap2::clap2:

Cops are, at best, hypocrites and, at worst, murderous thugs. They are no different from the gangstas they supposedly protect us from. Get pissed drunk and kill an innocent motorist or a pedestrian and have your buddies on the Force deliberately screw up the investigations to get you off the charge. Cowards, all of them. Especially those who don't come forward and expose the cover-ups, afraid that their "brothers" will turn on them and not help them when they face a dangerous situation.

Pin a badge on someone - guaranteed they will misuse and abuse that power. GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!:mad::mad:

Heard this morning drunk driving case against the cop who killed someone on Main may be thrown out.

Breathalyser test not given until 3-4 hours after arrest. May be inadmissable.

Was this cops intentionally sabotaging the case?
You think?

Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
Was it because he left the scene and 3-4 hours had elapsed before they tracked him down to administer the test or was it an "intentional" delay?
Wouldn't he still have charges of leaving the scene +/- manslaughter pending?

If he gets off then this opens up a huge can of worms going forward. Get in an accident while driving impaired. Simply leave the scene and by the time they catch up to you the breathalyser is invalid. Or go somewhere very public and start drinking, so they can't determine if you were impaired before or after the accident.

Cheers

Depends, if he admitted to drinking the results may be valid especially if he is over. I know a fellow who was in an accident after he had been drinking. No injuries or major damage done. Particulars were exchanged, no cops called. Everyone leaves. He has the cops show up on his doorstep after getting home. The other party had called the cops and mentioned he had possibly been drinking. When asked, the dumbass said yes so they gave him the test and he failed.

All he had to do was just go home and start drinking or just tell them he had a drink at home and actually didn't, same result. Once you have left the scene or "custody" a breathalyser or blood alcohol would be deemed inadmissible. You would still have to face a number of charges related to the accident and leaving the scene.

Regardless, if the system works, this cop is in for a world of trouble, they may even make an example of him.

Lol. He probably did a series of breath tests. He actually passed the official one. It is likely he took several over the elapsed time until he passed one and then they did one for the record.

So, from what I’m reading here, LE protects their own. And since this thread is about sting operations, we can conclude that if an off duty officer was caught in one of these sting operations, they would let him go?

Looks like the officers were not so lucky in Florida where they caught over 200 Johns including officers. Lol.
