ISO MPs, licensing, how is the biz out west?

A question for the gents or ladies;

I am a MPA, and am currently working at at a respectable MP in Hamilton, Ontario. However I was just accepted into a college in the Nanamo region. I would like to know if there are any MPs in that area and if so, what are they like?....Are they licenced? and how is the MP business in that area. I will travel as far as Victoria for a MP, if that area is better and more safe (from LE, etc..) I am really looking for a licenced MP if that is possible.

A word of advice... be independant!!

Get a 2 brm and work from home, there is not enough biz out here to give 30-50% of your earnings to someone else. There aren't even many massage parlors out here, and then you are stuck for a 6 shift even when it's dead. (when you could be at home relaxing with a cel phone.) If you are a student that would mean the 6-12 or 8-2 shift YUCK.

A small ad in a local paper like monday mag here in Victoria for example ...

Sorry I don't know how to make it a pretty link (info appreciated) but a small ad at $50 a week will bring you all the work you need. Of course how successful you are depends on your ability to attract repeat customers.

Hey, you may want to avoild Calgary or Alberta in general. Too many busts all the time--recently a whole bunch of massage places. They seem to want the women outside and in danger.

Going independent may be ore difficult, considering, I will be new to the area and will have no idea where to set up shop,
per se....


Just thinking out loud here...


I as wondering, why isn't there many massage parlors? Is it because of LE, or lack or licencing? Does Victoria even have Body Rub Parlor licences?

If they do and there aren't many parlors, possibly I could open one of my own?

I'll have to look into it further, all the while considering renting an apartment...

Any suggestions/information on policies in BC, and the LE would be appreciated.....

The main reason for lack of "Massage Parlors" would be the plentiful number of Full service establishments. There is one place that is an escort service specializing in massage, but it is set up and operated more like an escort agency and a number of their girls do offer full service as well. Otherwise there are about a dozen independants who offer masage services without full service. LE in Victoria is complaint driven, although Saanich got a little gung ho for a while, and mostly hassles the larger incall agencies when there are sufficient complaints. I have never heard of them bothering any independants. (unless someone else here has heard something I haven't)

Can a caucasian girl make it financially these days at a MP or an AMP? Besides the tourist downtown Vancouver MPs.
