I've noticed lately,not only on here,but the other WPG forums(non escort related)that most everyone(including myself so don't come on here calling me a hypocrite)are really confrontational and up for on-line "pissing matches".I really think the long winter,preceded by a lack of a decent summer,is really affecting everyone.
Spring's not far off,and summers just around the corner,lighten up,just a couple more months and we'll all have more constructive fun things to do besides ripping eachothers' heads off over shit that really doesn't matter!
(and you all thought this would be a thread taking a shot at someone or a group in particular!! )

Hey calvin, Have to agree with you to some point. February and March are the worst months because of the weather and being cooped up to much. I notice this in people I work around also.
I also belong to another "car forum" (beyond.ca) and find very little fighting. I think there, they eliminate it very quickly.

but this board has gotten like this:

a) if you come on just to chat or post about the hobby generally ... you get attacked for not reviewing.

b) if you review, people dissect it and seize on any word they disagree with and then call you a shill and go on disrespecting the lady for pages and pages of complete bullshit.


so I'm not going to say you are being a hypocrite, but there are some people on this board who go out of their way looking to start pissing matches.

Hit the back button. I've never disagreed with any review lowdy ever posted. Right on in my opinion. But honesty and telling it like it is doesn't require the bullshit attitude ... who needs it.

And bbs ... for a guy who never reviews you can store the sanctimonious, self-righteousness stuff.

It's kinda funny that someone that "doesn't want pissing matches" seems to be in the middle of most of them . I think Tom is one of these people that thinks he has to have the last word on everything and MUST have his opinion acknowledged and agreed with. Go figure.

I too have noticed a deterioration in the level of communication here. It has turned me off and I don't post much these days.

All I can suggest is that people just let stupid threads die rather than piping in on how stupid they are. Similarly, don't engage the jerks and they will have no one to fight with. Before you post, ask yourself if you are adding to the problem by engaging.

I have gained a lot of insight from this board and the old Canbest. They are terrific resources and have saved me tons of money and dissappointment over the years. Some of the posters have become great allies in the war against celibacy and become people I think of as friends.

Take the high road and we might be able to put things back on track.

BBS I agree with you. IMHO Tom is not always way off the mark but he and a few others really took out their baseball bats and banged on me for posting a very small detale where I disagreed with them. I have looked back and this has happened to others also. The thread got out of hand, in my case, not because I posted an opinion that differed but because he and others could not let anyones opinion that differed from theirs from getting space so they diverted the thread into a degrading review of me.

Interestingly the same thread revealed that the sp's share a lot of personal information about their customers with other sp's and poons. While on one thread the poons and 2 sp's beat on me about personal stuff on another thread everyone denied that they had ever heard or shared personal stuff. Go figure???

The best way to kill stupid, pointless, confrontational threads is to stay out of them. Or, if you're already in one, just drop out. Two days of no posts. and 99% of them disappear forever. The best way to handle the shit disturbers is to pretend they don't exist.
