What frequency then? Can the phones work on 2100?Again, this is changing with the new HSPA rollout set for September...Then it will be a "true" world phone, no GSM and no CDMA...

At this point I'm not too sure at the frequency they plan on using, however as someone who has actually used a device on the trial network DT Vancouver I can say that it is amazingly fast. Like stupid fast. I loaded the full version of some websites faster than my CDMA Storm could load the mobile version...What frequency then? Can the phones work on 2100?
I must agree that the Rodgers GSM coverage is better than the current CDMA Telus/Bell...I'm not a real techie, but I do want to make a point. I have been on Bell and Telus in the last two years and their coverage is very poor compared to Rogers. There are or was huge holes in their service in the Tri Cities area.
Right now I'm rocking the BB Edge on Roger's and it's great. Really nice for e mail and texting.
Personal use. Texting, cellphone usage, taking pics.Where and how are you going to use it?
PCWhat are you going to sync to? Mac or PC?
I vote neither...both are a waste of money! For business, Blackberry. For leisure use, iphone. Easy
My Nokia N86 8G has a 8 MP camera, works great on any 3G Network, SMS easy, Bluetooth, WiFi all included. Probably free with Rogers on a plan now. Surfing is easy on it too. Got Perb bookmarked as well as Craigslist tooPersonal use. Texting, cellphone usage, taking pics.
The internet access would be handy if I'm in a different city and I need to find an SP, don't have to haul around a laptop or use an internet cafe.
PC
No.Another question: is it worthwhile getting an extended warranty for the smartphone if you're on a 3-year contract?
