I recieved a text message from someone selling Iphone 5's, Samsung S4's, & MacBooks for a ridiculously low price. when you try to call the number, it goes to some sort of office line, asking you for an extension number. I ignored the first 2 or 3 texts, & a month later when he texted me again i decided to get him to call me. He sounded very convincing. He says that his friend has a bunch of them & is trying to get rid of them fast. He quoted me $200 for 2 Iphone 5's. So i was on my way to that big park or Rupert st, when he calls again to tell me how thhis transaction was going to go down. He said that he was going to collect the money from me, hop in his friends car to grab the phones, & bring them back to me. I was very suspicious that i couldnt see the phones before i paid for them... but if it was true, i couldnt pass on that price. So i took a chance, instead of turning around & heading home like i should have. So we get there, & sit there for about 30min before he shows up. he had brown hair, & tries to come off as very trusting. Nothing about his made me second guess his intentions, except maybe his blue 50's ski jacket & black sweatpants... So we stand with him for almost another 45 min before his friend shows up in a little beater green car. gross. I hand him the money, he jumps in the car, & takes off!!!! I texted him immediately & he calls me back saying stuff like " relax, were driving around the corner & hes dropping me off, i will walk right back, ill be there in less that a minute" ... So this back & forth texting goes on for a while, 20 minutes later he tells me hes on "this street" & "this street" (all a few blocks from where we met) So we drove there to pick him up, & hes on the phone saying " where r u? i cant see your car" & then says that hes actually on a different street!! so we go to that street, & hes trying to say that he still cant see our car, sohe gives us ANOTHER adress to go to, & says STAY THERE DONT MOVE, so we sit here for another 10 minutes & realize that hes not coming. So i say a few choice words to him & head home, cutting my losses. He texts back saying that he is soo very sorry & he will meet me close to my house. I tell him to meet me in the underground parking at superstore on willingdon. he says he is 5 minutes away. I sit there for another 30 minutes, & then head home. he comes up with some other excuse, & asked me to meet him at the bowling alley by holdom at 9pm. I didnt even care about getting the phones at this point, but brought a couple friends to f**k him up. But of course, went to the bowling alley at 9pm & sat there for at least an hour. I kind of knew he wasnt going to show, but felt a bit better knowing he was going to get what was coming to him. He continued to text me for a week or two trying to get me to wait for him somewhere so he could give me the phones. I knew it was all bullshit & felt so stupid for believing him in the first place. I posted this as a warning to all the ladies, as he messages only working girls. Keep your eyes open for any scams like this, & hopefully you dont make the same choice that i did. Not ONLY did he take my $200, but also wasted my ENTIRE day. Good luck ladies.

"If the deal sounds too good to be true, then it usually is exactly that . . . ."

So many scams out there that you literally have to hold the phone and see if it is a working phone BEFORE you hand over any cash. There have been many thefts from Cellular stores of merchandise that the Networks have already bricked the stolen phones and you could have been buying a paper weight.
