If you have had sex with a female sex worker / prostitute, we would like you to join our online discussion group.

We would like to discuss issues that will help us:

• Deliver better HIV/Sexually transmitted diseases and sexual health information to you
• Improve clinical services for you.

We advertised on PERB last year for a face to face discussion group and many of the people commented to us that they would prefer to participate online.

We held two face to face discussion groups facilitated by a registered nurse, at the beginning of this year and were able to get some great ideas.

We are looking for approximately 10 men from BC to participate.

If you are interested you can send Health Nurse a private message. With the group I will work out what date and time is best for the most people. We will be using the SP chat feature on PERB and I will send you the name of the private chat room and password. It should take about 1 hour.

I dont know about anywhere else, but at the STD clinic on cambie and 12th. In order to get a test, you have to book very FAR in advance, I am talking about weeks here not days. I know you can do drop-in, but do you know the average wait time for those drop-in people? I waited 2.5 hour once....imagine the uneasiness in the waiting room.

On the other hand, health issues appear on this board from time to time. Isnt it a good idea to have a registered nurse here answering questions from time to time? Maybe this is something that can be work out together with a perb admin?

rockyy .. I was a few times @ BC Centre for Disease Control .... the staff there rock ... and there are couple of nurses there that are just a perfect 10 in looks.
here ... now all you guys that have the hots for nurses .... go there for testing ... maybe you will get lucky, ....... and she will be working on that day

But seriously .... it would be great, if they can assign somebody to check this forum, from time to time, and make sure all the health related posts are answered correctly. After all prevention of STDs is part of their work... and this place has 6000+ visits DAILY (!!!!!!!!!!!). ( I know... not all people go to the lounge)

Has anyone even considered the possibility that LE and health care workers might actually partake in the hobby as well? They have needs too!
