Independent SP's at risk

I visited an Asian SP lately and she appeared at the door wearing sunglasses. Cool I thought, that's different, until she removed them and the skin around her eye was bright red. Someone had just come up to visit and busted her with his fist in the eye, and gave her a few more shots to the head.
I discovered that she has no mama/papasan, and I'm wondering if this is retribution for not hiring protection and support.
She also told me of men visiting and paying her poorly or not paying at all, and that she has been robbed by visitors. And of an outcall that she was lured into making that did not turn out well for her.
She is also living alone, which is lonely for her, and affords her no protection from a 1:1 visitor. Not a good situation, and I'm concerned for her. I think that men have identified her situation and are taking advantage. That is why I hesitate to reveal her identity. It's not the first time I've heard this from women in this situation.
She's a good person, gives great massage, and although the rest of her service is a bit skimpy it does produce results.
I think it would be in her best interests to find a micro manager. What say you?

I'd say there is a really good chance it is a micro manager looking to pull her in. It happens even between rival micros, from what we've seen in some reports last year, trying to shake each other down and drive each other out of business. Going in, they might not have realized she is truly indy, and probably thought it was their lucky day to find her alone.

The idea is to get her to quit, as another asian on the market it cuts into their business. Or because they are not getting a cut out of her business.

What she can do is relocated to an area that has fewer micros. Screen better, get onto a site as an indy that has a blacklist area, etc. But it does mean she has to get involved on forums and ad sites with forums, so that people 'know' who she is and those kinds of guys know that they won't be able to get away with it any more.

The best piece of advice the OP can give her is to tell her to contact the VPD or susie, and if she won't do that, to get involved on sites like this one to post in Neighbourhood Watch. Those kinds of guys can't stand to have the sunlight hit them, they thrive under cover and rely on people like her to NOT say anything.

Super disturbing story, because this lady is putting herself in harm's way, not having a security or back-up plan. If her service is that good, she should have developed a certain amount of repeat business by now, that she can rely on. You can't just be independent and safe, because you want to. You have to take steps to ensure your safety, which she obviously hasn't done.

Most ladies start out with support around them, MP, AMP, or micro, until they get their feet wet, learn the ropes, and make some associations.

This is a story looking for a disastrous ending...and yet, it's so avoidable. I encourage you to keep up the friendly pressure. She shouldn't be completely alone in this, especially if she sees clients after dark...

Yeah very disturbing. I'm new to the game and I never really considered the danger SPs could be exposing themselves to when an unknown individual comes knocking. The worst I imagined was some unappealing smelly slob with his tongue down their throat but guess it could be a lot worse.
I don't know the ins and outs of the industry and it's safeguards but I hope for this girls sake she finds a safe solution to this problem.

And She's still working? What a trooper. She should follow some of these ladies' great advice. Doing nothing is not a solution. Good luck Anonymous!

Actually, you should be able to. It is not her job to hide, but the job of the police to stop the attackers.
Police react after the fact and often with a slap on the wrist. I wouldn't count on them being part of your protection plan. How many women are abused by people they have restraining orders against.
You cant be too careful.

She might also be at risk if her English is poor, and she can't question her would be clients sufficiently to get some feedback on their demeanour.

The worst advice would be to tell her to join those who are behind the violence.
Ok, you should be able to, but this isn't what we're talking about...nobody said anything about hiding. And I'd rather encourage her to learn how to set up some protection, and prevent a possible attack...don't you agree? What good are the police, once you've been attacked? Yes, attacks should be reported, but let's put in some preventive measures.

Join those who are behind the violence? ...there are many MPs that offer some safety in numbers, at least until a lady establishes herself...

I wish her all the best...

The police can only do so much, the problem you have identified is with the courts, but I feel you're probably correct that not much would be done. Doesn't mean she shouldn't report it.
