In search of a tax lawyer

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone knew of a good tax lawyer. Unfortunately, I am facing a situation where CRA thinks that I ought to be paying more than the already outrageous taxes I am paying. D/T lawyers are expensive I have found, and hard to meet with. If someone could make a suggestion, that would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You can have a good lawyer or a cheap lawyer but you're not getting both.

Anyway, When I have tax issues I contact Thorsteinssons, but depending on what these issues are, an accountant maybe more appropriate than a tax lawyer.

Thanks for the advice, I did contact Thorsteinssons, and their advice was to seek an accountant too at the stage that I am in. If it comes to litigation, than I can use them.

Whatever you do, don't delay. There is time limitation to file a "notice of objection" which is usually the first step in your post-assessment dispute with the CRA.
