Got pulled over one time after having a few drinks after work and had to take a Breathalyzer. Thankfully I passed but It was a big wakeup call because if I didn't I would have gotten a criminal record.
Been taking a break from drinking but whenever I do drink I always walk or take transit/skytrain/cab. It's not worth the risk and I know if I kill someone behind the wheel while intoxicated I'd go to jail for a very long time.
Even when I'm not drinking and have to go to downtown Vancouver I just take the skytrain. Parking can be such a pain in the ass down there and I'd also have to worry about someone breaking into my vehicle.
It's just not worth it.
I almost got killed by a drunk driver.
I was on my bike and he crossed over to the wrong side of the road. Hit me head on and my shoulder went through his windshield.
In court he thought it was no big deal and said “no hard feelings eh”.

It is not only drinking and driving, but drugs and driving. Also then there are just some people who shouldn't drive. Put them on crowded roads, add high speed limits and you have an accident waiting to happen.... People thinking they are Mario and driving like a madman, changing lanes weaving through traffic...
A drunk driver hit me head on, on the wrong side of the road. Changed my life forever, not just that I almost died, but still, and forever. People need to stop and think about others. My legs, back, neck, shoulders, arms, and even my head will never be right again. I have 24/7 headaches still, not to mention all the other aches and pains. I'm lucky to be alive, and not in a wheelchair forever. Definitely ended my career as a mechanic.
Most people just have no clue how to drive.
Either the testing needs to be more stringent or there's a lot of corruption involved in them getting a license

We get truckers from Ontario who absolutely should not be driving.
If you can’t back into a spot after ten tries GTFO.
I won’t delve into the drivers who can’t read or speak either official language.
