What does everyone think of bill S-210 that will require you to provide your valid ID if you want to visit a porn site?

The government wants to force ISPs to use facial recognition tech to make sure you are over 18 if you want to access any sexual explicit material, including sites like this.

ABSOLUTELY. I was a nerd and a geek, well, part of me, totally fascinated with the digital world because I felt it offered a sense of freedom! Kind of Wild West. Itis the opposite now. Still useful to find info, but it comes with so much malice that I truly dont know which outweights which. My vote would be to go back to the pre digital age. At least people paid more attention to signing papers.

I can see some religious nut in the administration releasing personal data of people they don’t like.

And who decides what is locked?
Perb would be locked.
If a girl shows her tits on my biker forum would it be locked?

I'm sure there are or would be ways around it. When I was in China facebooked was blocked, but running a little app (I forgot the name of it now) was making everything available.
