I have mild acne on my back.

It prevents me from going to any new MPs as I am embarrassed.

It is mild, no open sores etc but I have always talked myself out of seeing new ladies because of this.

Does anyone else have this issue?

What do the pros have to say?

Any response appreciated.

A buddy of mine once had acne on his back, he called it "back-ne", he got a prescription acne medication from an MD that helped it, you might want to try that if you haven't already.

Ask your doctor about accutane. Alot of steroid users get backne as a side efffect. Thats why if you go to the beach and see huge roid monkeys, they usually use accutane to get rid of the backne.

Nothing to be concerned about but if it makes you feel better, wear a tshirt. Fyi clean up your diet (nix processed crap & dairy) to clean up your skin.

I don't have your specific issue, but I did spill some nasty chemicals all over my legs which led me to having some seriously dried out legs which looked like cooked lobsters. Happened a few days before seeing an sp, I warned the sp when I went she laughed at me saying she's seen so much worse including some serious (non contagious) skin conditions. So I wouldn't worry about it. Just take care of yourself a little better (not saying you don't) as it's just a small courtesy you can do for a woman who always tries to look her best for you. As was said if you feel that embarrassed about it, or might have a sore or two, just wear a tshirt.

What worked for me:

1. washing with Spectrojel (for sensitive blemish prone skin), from the drug store as suggested by my doctor

2. washing with Proactiv "Renewing Cleanser"

3. applying 5% benzoyl peroxide (the back can handle higher concentrations of this stuff than some other areas of the body)

4. wearing loose clothing

5. letting the skin breathe, as opposed to it resting against the back of a chair or backpack for hours

6. antibiotics tend to clear up my acne all over, at least for a while

Also this is something i've been considering to try:

I can't imagine anybody turning you down, unless there was bleeding involved. Try a body wash with salicylic acid. Wear a shirt while you are waiting for it to clear up, if that makes you feel more comfortable.

When I was a teenager and the acne attacked me my mom insisted I take zinc supplements. I cleared up within a couple weeks.

I've read that many prescription acne medications have large doses of zinc in them. Worth a try. Just don't take them on an empty stomach, you'll feel like shit. Powerful stuff.

Nothing to be embarrassed about, many men have varying degrees of it. The human body is a flawed object, lol. I really can't see any SP saying anything about it or turning you away considering how common it is. But if it's really bad, and you really want to do something about it, all the suggestions above seem like good input. Doesn't hurt to try and right the wrongs nature does to you :p

You can go to a tanning salon, and use the stand up ones twice a week and it will improve a lot, or even disappear.

Also, eat lots of carrots raw for your skin.

Also, if you sweat easy, it is likely being caused by working out a lot...make sure to shower right after working out and properly cleanse the area...

I have a bad case as well. Never anymore fresh bacne but dark spots and uneven skin left by scarring over the years. Haven't had it in years. I'm acne prone and when mixed with extra testosterone from doing roids it isn't a good thing.

My current condition has been treated with bathing in sea salt which completely smooths the skin and evens out the color but it's only temporary in that the skin would feel great for only a day or two. This might also work for fresh bacne as well so it's worth a try. As for the fresh bacne it went away after cycling off the test. When I was getting heaps of them I tried benzoyl peroxide cream, salicylic acid cleansers, aloe vera, tea tree oil, vitamin e oil, and some expensive chemical\alpha hydroxy acid peels and exfoilants I got from essential day spa that they swore would work but didn't. So if I were back in your shoes I'd just go to london drugs and grab a few packs of coarse sea salt and go from there. Dissolve 250g in a tub of hot water and rest there for 15 minutes everyday. Don't rub it on as it is very harsh. Sells for $2\kg box in the food aisle.

As well as cleaning up your diet (more fresh food), I would also use a loofah on the area, or have someone do that for you, before or after a shower.
Loofah is good, along with some pure, non scented non petroleum based skin wash. I use Nature Clean on me, and in my house. Love the stuff, and it's a Canadian company. 100% natural, won't clog pores. Could also try some creams with an acetacylic acid in them, in small doses that would clear up the acne. The OP could also try wearing one of those "muscle" shirts, that would cover the back. Nothing wrong with wanting to cover up perceived flaws.
