....I wasn't at first...I thought it might all be too good to be true. He just limited the "cash for clunkers" deal...and will end it. To me, that speaks of competence and someone with their hand on the tiller.

I don't much care about the whole "race" thing....what I do care about is having someone in office and controlling things that I can't...to be far more competent and omniscient that I could ever be. Obama is that kind of dude....he is taking the heat over the ultimate conversion of the U.S. to state sponsored medicare....let's face it....it already exists...may as well put it into legislative law and be done with it. If a prosperous state cannot afford to look after it's own citizens in times of need...they have no right to that prosperity.

Thank you Mr. Obama.....let's get this show on the road as I think/know you will.

agreed...I have the tendency to allow my emotions override my intellect. In this case, however, all I know for sure is that I'm certainly happy that there is not a "godfearingchristianbreastthumpingdemocracymustrule" type in that most powerful of seats.

I do believe we will all be well served by considered and reflective judgment prior to action. He's not perfect...and he will err...if He err's 49.9% of the time...he's ahead of the curve. I suspect he will hit a 42% error rate though...and that's just me being hopeful.
