How to read, interpret and assess a review of an SP accurately.

Some questions to ask yourself when you read a review to determine if it seems to be helping the reader make an informed decision about seeing the lady or is it more about the reviewer trying to make himself look macho and entertaining to the readers. Perhaps he is taking revenge because he made assumptions about what services he was paying for without doing his homework first and asking appropriate questions before he booked her.

Did he seem to choose someone that would meet his needs in the first place or did he select someone from a massage category when what he really clearly wanted was an escort (the services offered are vastly different).

Does he needlessly demean her with derogatory terms throughout the review?
If so, the review is more about boosting his own ego than it is about an honest review attempt.

A good review should not be designed to humiliate the SP and if the reviewer is doing exactly that, then look for more reviews and read them all.

Think for yourself. Don't be unduly influenced by a reviewer who might be taking revenge against the lady for not allowing herself to be bullied into providing additional time or services not paid for under threat of a bad review.

right here and now
Those of us that can actually think for ourselves can generally interpret a review.
Those of us that can't are generally lost anyway.
The intent of a review can be miscommunicated, and the content along with certain terms and phrases can be misconstrued with the written word as well- grammar, tone, inflection, sarcasm, tongue-in-cheek remarks etc. etc. all play into our intrpretations.
I get that you are pointing a few things out for the Noobs to be helpful, but you are pointing out the obvious.
And what's wrong with a little bit of "....entertaining to the readers"?
We all have our own styles on here.

I doubt anyone objects to a reviewer being entertaining to his readers, but someone who is doing so by demeaning and humiliating the SP needlessly should be a red flag to the readers of the review. A great many men are reading reviews since the new laws went into effect that likely never bothered to do so before which is the reason for my post. They worry more now about sting operations than they did when it wasn't illegal to pay for sex and want to find reviews to assure themselves the lady is a provider who has been in business awhile and not just popping up out of nowhere seemingly.

That's a very good point.
I totally agree, we should respect the SP and I appreciate her time, so far I'm very happy as you said I make sure I do my homework before book them.
And I'm a type of guy if I like one and enjoy her company, I stick with her for a long time :p

Perhaps you need to reference some reviews that motivated you to post this thread? I clearly do not understand what your motivation is and where you hope to take it.

Many members here are very respectful of SP's and do not post anything negative UNLESS it is worthy of mentioning in a review. The posters who are overly negative, with very few posts make me suspect they may be another SP, another SP's handler or someone with their own agenda to wreck an SP's business.

The post is a general guide to men who are not experienced with reviews and may be mislead by some they see. No need to give examples. Not all men realize that some reviews need to be viewed with a critical eye and not assume each one is necessarily posted with good intentions or even close to accurate. Experienced men on Perb don't need educating on what to pay attention to and what to disregard, however, there are a great many men going to Perb for the first time now that they are aware of the need to be more cautious about who they are booking from a legal perspective. It is more that they just think they do rather than really needing to, but they listen to their friends and have fears that are not the result of any real threat of major sting operations as much as they are based on gossip and possible arrests and "john school" type things happening to them.

I suspect your target audience never read any threads in the Lounge.

Most never even heard of Perb and where to find reviews before the law changed recently. As many new posters sign up in order to read reviews now, perhaps some will become interested in the forum and maybe learn a thing or two as they find articles of interest to them. I've no doubt that Perb welcomes new members and that the forum might attract their interest as well as the review section.

How would a good review humiliate an SP...where is this thread going?

I agree with Edward's assessment.

I like what Einstein said...

there is nothing so absurd, that it hasn't been a thread in the PERB lounge

where according to one of our finer SPs, hairy, pimply, unwiped asses abound

A GOOD review would not. Define good? A review where the focus is clearly written for the purpose of giving those reading it a fairly accurate idea of what they can expect if they were to visit the lady in question. Needless demeaning terminology tells readers the writer is more interested in making himself look like a big shot or a smart alec and less interested in giving an honest and accurate report on his experience.

Why so defensive about where the thread is going is another good question. Did I touch a nerve or numerous nerves. Are there really that many men writing reviews more to enjoy sharing laughs over how seriously they can demean and humiliate the ladies they see?
