For all-in-ones, my current pc is that and so was my previous one. I got the first one because of the touch screen. Good for carpal tunnel syndrome.
There're pros and cons. If you like to upgrade hardware, AIO is not for you. I get a good one to start with and don't find the need to upgrade anymore. My network port/card on both my HPs (hewlett packard) did die though. But I just use wifi with no issue.
It is convenient being mostly just one piece. It's a matter of preference.
Yes, I totally forgot about that topic. I am not that technical so I am not the kind of guy who goes around upgrading, updating etc. I buy a computer, I use a computer, I curse at a computer and then I replace it. Honestly, a computer lasts you 4, 5 years. By the then it slows down and the technology moves way ahead of it. I like the convenience of AIO's. I would hate to see my mouse getting tangled in cables when I am watching porn. By mouse I mean computer mouse, not .... my mouse.

This thread reminds me of a south park episode where the kids are trying to get a simple problem resolved with their cable company this is the cable company's response:

Just wanted to post a little update.

Since I live in a rather large house with three floors, the signal sucked. So anyways, I got these ..white .. things called COVR (built by D-Link I believe). Cost me around $275. It has three .... pod like things. The main 'A' one is plugged to the main Shaw modem and rest of the two can be plugged in and placed anywhere in the house. I am about 5 on the scale tech savvy scale of 1 to 10 and I was a bit worried when the sales person was explaining it to me. But it took me about ten minutes to hook it all up and I am very happy with the result. Not only wifi reaches farther, the wifi signal on the main floor is incredibly faster.

I also noticed that the old wifi connection is still active. Now I can still run a few things on it while hook up a few things on the newer network.

Repeat and Recommend: Yes. A bit pricey but I would rather spend money than be frustrated with screen freezing while watching porn.

Thats good to know and glad it all worked out.

It does emphasize what I said is Shaw wifi routers are crap and you need to hook your own router up to their box.

Also to note that some Shaw techs also have their own business on the side that work on other companies equipment. So if you are stuck and have a D Link, Apple etc they will get it running smoothly in about 15 minutes for $50 or so.
