Being treated fairly is more important

I don't really care that much about how someone dresses except that it be a true reflection of their personality (case in point: I always got a kick out of how Aliya at bbc dressed - the more outrageous the better)

I'd say being treated with respect is far more important with good personal hygene being a close second (which relates to that anyway). I'd say that's true either side of the condom.
