This latest US SESTA/FOSTA law resulting in the closure of sites like BP must have our ladies stressed right out. I think we here on Perb are all of a mind that these ladies work in a chosen profession that comes with many risks that more conventional work does not. These sites like BP, LL, CL, etc give them a means to safely connect with and screen potential clients. Therefore these recent changes are not only putting their livelihood at risk but more importantly their safety.
I find myself wondering how we, as their clientelle, can help them adapt to these changes and maintain the same earning potential without compromising their safety. So I would like to hear what others do in your process of finding and choosing your SP. Now that BP is down will that cause you to change your process, and if so how? If I were an SP how would I have to adapt to stay engaged with us the clientelle?
In these last few dsys LL has become flooded with new ads. And due to its listing layout - that posts rates on the list view without having to actually click the ad - I can see this might lead to more price-based 'window shopping' where the cheaper providers get most of the interest. If this happens then some our higher quality or lower volume providers might find themselves getting squeezed out of the market in the short term and they might feel compelled to reduce their prices. I know some might think that is a good thing (for us) but realize that if they have to start compromising on rates then how long until they feel pressured to compromise on other things potentially more costly?
We should all seek for a safe and reliable marketplace where the ladies feel free to charge and offer what they are comfortable with. What advice would we give our precious providers to best keep engaged with us? Happy and safe providers is best for the clientelle so lets put our collective heads together and help them through this tough time.
