I’ve been thinking about what “high end” means. I really loathe the term as it perpetuates the whorearchy and the idea that some SPs are “better” than others. I know for a fact that things many clients stereotypically assume go along with “low end” like drug use, BBFS, dissociative or robotic service, untidy incalls, “pimps”/managers, etc are also prevalent in providers that are considered “high end”.
The only differences I can REALLY see are body mods (bbl, liposuction, botox, injections etc), rates, and professional photos. It’s all honestly just a farce. There is no such thing as “high end” or “low end”. The only reason I charge more is because people will pay me more, and a lot of that is honestly due to my privileged education, skin colour, and weight. I know how to write; to use computers; to use photoshop; how to market and brand; I had the time to learn to use makeup; etc.
Anyways I don’t know. Shit like this really bugs me because I feel like it divides us. I see classism in my community all the time and it’s depressing. So many societal issues are magnified tenfold in the pseudo-illegal sex industry and it’s all very intersectional. Classism, sexism, racism, fatphobia, transphobia, homophobia… every discriminatory issue we face as a society manifests so brightly here.
Take a step back and think about the way you view people, view this industry, and view the world. There’s lots wrong here.
That’s my two cents. But who am I to talk? I’m just 3 “low end” providers in a trench coat.
