Re the TPP, from what I have read it'll kill off what's left of the auto industry in Ontario
More made in China and bigger profits for the corporations, while the assembly worker looks forward to min. wage jobs.

TPP lets not forget boards like this wont exist with it around as it ambigously allows the gov or appointed powers that be to censor the internet.

The way the TPP is setup is that they can add whoever they want at any point. So basically the rules can change at any time.
The TPP if I'm not mistaken in part is to counter the rise of China's economic clout. So I don't think they'll become a member anytime soon.

Am not active in this anymore but I like to visit here and this is one of the reasons: a more thoughtful and progressive membership. I also drop into CAF occasionally and the large number of (still) right wing Harper supporters on that board is baffling. I am off to vote at the advance poll wearing an Anonymous mask to protest the Conservatives attempt to target Muslim women in a disgusting effort to create division, fan the flames of racism and garner votes.

I thought about doing the same but in the end I decided the actual voting is more important than proving a point. In any event, best of luck to you.

Storm Rider … I think Meaghan knows that and it is just another way of saying pigs will fly before she votes for Uncle Stephen

So do the US if they can. Free trade basically means "we'll take over whatever you have and let our corporations take the profit"
yes you're right there

i remember a working trip to mexico just after nafta came into effect. my previous trips to mexico were from the era when campesinos wore clothes made of white cotton and used bf goodrich sandals. on this particular trip there were all the labourers lined up wearing blue jeans and running shoes

i commented on this to the labour contractor, and asked him where the factory was that was making these modern clothes

he said, 'georgia!'

but then the u.s. put all the factories in the country out of business and moved them to china, so i guess the mexicans get their stuff from china now too

I just read about this today. Cons are now saying that Justin will move to legalize Brothels.

http://www.news1130.com/2015/10/13/conservatives-repeat-liberal-brothel-claim-despite-no-evidence/

I am smelling blood in the water and think its the Cons blood. Don't know about your ridings but it seems in my area (which voted Conservative etc for the past 15 years) will see a huge swing and the undecided vote is huge.
I saw that too....and give weed to children....I am against that. But very excited if the Liberals legalize brothels.

If the Libs form government they will start looking at re-election immediately, that's just the way the game is. If it's a minority they'll just focus on not being defeated until they want to be defeated. Rescinding C-36 will not be a priority unless their pollsters tell them it is a priority which is highly unlikely. Expect rhetoric about needing time to study the issue more fully.

Harper's new controversial Australian campaign fixer Lynton Crosby's "dirty-tricks" heavy hand is evident here.

Even the dimmest of lights will recognize Harper's panic now in his most recent campaign attack ads.
If all of these distortions and lies about the Liberals were true, why did he not trot them out weeks ago?
Last minute assault from a sinking ship. Cannot wait to be rid of this piece of scum.

It's all fine we have different outlooks and opinions. We are free and democratic Canadians.
But I am confident that many Conservative voters are disgusted with Harper's tactics.
Perhaps instead of 2011's "orange crush", we'll see flocks of Conservative voters switching to a "red tidal wave".
