Anyone on Vancouver Island remember the haircutting hooker in Parksville?

There was (still is?) one in Courtney/Comox. Back room of a hairdressers joint.

Never got a haircut, some of the girls were okay, some were brutal, two were great. This was at least a couple of years ago, so who knows if they're still about.

the was a Vietnamese place on Kingsway just by Churches Chicken (a few doors east, same side next to Chinese Restuarant) east of Nanaimo. Never got to go but my Chinese buddy went a few times. I think it was full service.

How the fuck do you want me to go ask for a haircut with my god damn shaved head ?

You mean Connie's? I went there about a dozen times to get my nails done and I'm pretty darn sure there was nothing untoward going on in that place. It was a legit hair and esthetics place, the clientele was almost entirely female (at least from what I saw while I was there), they did very professional work, oh, and there was that huge window into the hair cutting area. Anyway, I think it closed down in November or December, so I guess we'll never know.

Church's (east of Slocan)

I remember a place East of Slocan not Nanaimo (although it's still east of Nanaimo) not of a haircut place but an actual pooning place on the second floor. It was run by a bunch of young punks I think. I remember this one chick who freaked out on me cuz I was talking to another chick in the apartment. It was a dive. I wonder what the neighbours thought - it was always so loud and the door was never closed.
