I wouldn't be out $200.
So to begin. I know nothing of the industry. I've moved down to the coast for a new job a few months ago, right before covid. I know no one down here and it's not like I can go to a bar and meet people. I finally got tired of it and decided I needed something to do. Long story short, the person there wasn't who I thought it was and I figured it would be rude to just walk away. And then she upped the price. Me being new and feeling akward about the whole situation just went with it but it was a very unsatisfying experience. And definitely not worth what I paid.

What PM said. And I'll ad this: avoid Leolist girls unless they have decent reviews by somewhat longtime board members. Agencies are almost always your best bet.

If it is not the person in the ad walking is always the right thing to do.

Scamming people is rude.
Refusing to be scammed is not rude.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that, OP. It’s part of the learning experience. When I first started, I didn’t read any reviews either. I just went to a couple of AMP to get my feet wet. My second experience was so lacklustre that I decided to become a member and read reviews. Thanks to so many fellows here showing me the rope. I’ve learned a lot about this industry. Since then, over 90% of my experience has been meeting or exceeding my expectations. If you stick with well reviewed SP and agencies, you can only get better from here. Just make sure you also contribute to this community by writing reviews. That’s the only way we can benefit from each other’s experiences. I hope your next visit will be 10 times better than your previous one.

This happens, care to share a review to help others from making the same mistake with this provider? Also, it was an SP who advised me to start using review boards many years ago. It's funny how many of them today bash review board and complain that they exist.
