But how can this captaincy keep on dragging on? Thru training camp? Why can't this incompetent management just take control? It's not like Lui has played well enough to earn any respect for the playoff no-shows he's pulled in the last 3 years.

And if it's true that Sedin can be even considered---which I'm just flabbergasted---do we really need another Swedish meatball as captain? Who doesn't want to be in the spotlight?

Its a non-issue to players. It's only an issue to sports talk shows that have nothing else to talk about other than Canucks. Who gives a sh*t who the captain is? There's your real answer!

Let's not be too quick to sing the praises of Gillis....most of his talent was here before he got here....also the coack who he didn't fire. He is also the one who signed Luongo to the big deal....I think we should have our answer this tear if it was good or bad. He did bring in Sundin- Fail, Kyle Wellwood- fail, Pavol Dimitra- fail. I don't have a problem with a guy trying and failing, just let's leep things in context.

Burke still fielded the most entertaining team the Canucks have ever had.....last I heard it is all about entertainment and at almost $200 a ticket, it should be.

When Lou was signed to that contract, the whole city was happy. So to go back now and say it was a bad signing is so hindsight. Which goalie could the Canucks sign as a alternative? Not much. Yes, he had a few bad signings but made some good ones. Wellwood didn't cost Gillis anything, neher did Sundin or Demitra. He did manage to sign Hamhuis, Samuellson and a few other decent players.
