hey guys and gals,

just wondering do MP's and spa's have trouble with LE? If so does it happen often and what happens if youre in there? Basically I'm just trying to evaluate the risk of running into LE/getting in trouble. I was hoping to try something like spa540 out. I'm still quite new to the scene so any advice/tips are appreciated!

there were a series of raids a few years ago but we are engaged with the police and have been lobbying to protect indoor work environments so i don't think you will have a problem at least in Vancouver.

the argument we give is that by eliminating safe work environments, they are creating the circumstances that force workers onto the street. enforcement is largely complaints based, so choose a place that's discreet. you can tell if a place has been in one location for a while, then they don't bother their neighbors, are operating unnoticed and are discreet.

if you are found inside the MP you will not likely be charged- it's difficult to prove what your intention was inside the MP- you COULD just be there for a massage...if you were there you would however most likely be handcuffed and shamed a bit, hauled into the station... for some reason they love the humiliation aspect.

but again, at least here in van the police are starting to listen...so i don't see any problems in MP's in the near future.

Chatting with a few people I know in law enforcement it appears that there is going to be another crack down on MP's and also Micros this time.

There is going to be a lot of cleaning up before 2010.

now i'm scared, remember last time? and the way they treated dancers in the raids on the strip clubs...

sometimes i wonder what the hell i'm doing over here...?
what's the point in spending years on this stuff if they're going to go off half cocked and do whatever they want anyway godamit!!

it's the money...no one wants a solution, they'd be out of a job! how would they pay for their mortgage? sorry, just venting...

it is some bulshit how cops will turn a blind eye for years and then when the olympics come around they are going to crack down on girls! cleaning up the streets is one thing but how are girls hurting the city from there apartments or massage parlors? its bulshit!

Put your mind at ease

Hey wizzle, erotic massage spas advertise under ADULT services in papers like the Georgia Straight. No one who cares to think for a second about these places could possibly entertain the slightest doubt about what they're there for.

And I think anyone in their right mind, including LE, is glad about indoor alternatives to the safety and nuisance problems associated with street prostitution.

In my own frequent visits to MPs, I feel totally comfortable and have never run into trouble—and personally, even if I did, I think my sense of having both sanity and justice overwhelmingly on my side would carry me proudly through any confrontation with prudery enforcement.

BTW, I've been told that at least some (but probably all) MPs have an alarm system in place, like a buzzer or flashing lights, that alerts your massage attendant to anything untoward, such as unwanted visitors in the reception area. So go ahead, wizzle—visit the MP of your choice, relax, enjoy.:)

we should be protected from them according to the international charter of human rights;:(
Article 6
2. The states parties to the present Covenant recognize the right to work, which includes the right of everyone to the opportunity to gain his living by work which he freely chooses or accepts, and will take appropriate steps to safe guard this right.

3. The steps to be taken by a state party to the present Covenant to achieve the full realization of this right shall include technical and vocational guidance and training programs, policies and techniques to achieve stead economic, social and cultural development and full and productive employment under conditions safe guarding fundamental political and economic freedoms to the individual.
