strange to me how nb home court is to the 2 best pro teams in the world.

home team wins in a blow-out each time so far.....and in prev. series as well.

I realize home court,home-ice, home field means something, but,at this level,I am surprised at the impact.

at least it's a series now.
Game 4 should be much closer if I were to take a calculated guess.
Cavs looked like they finally had their legs…better movement on
both ends of the court and they'll prob win tomorrow.
I'm thinking this will go the distance with GSW winning at home.

Sharks played spoiler role tonight. great game by Jones.

Compared to Cleveland, the Bay area has so much going for it, World Series and Superbowls, world class city, etc. So I am very happy for the people in Cleveland to finally win something.

1st major title since 1964 for the city of Cleveland.

Last week the AHL Lake Erie Monsters won the Calder Cup,so,while it is not considered a major win,ppl in the city-by-the-lake
get to celebrate 2 champs in a week!

wow! that was one for the ages.
congrats to the Cavs, they deserved it.
b-ball games in general are usually not exciting to watch with all the
touch fouls and endless time-outs but this was exceptional.

only 4 points separated the two teams for the entire series
which was hard to believe considering the blowout games at the start.

Another one not considered a major title...Cleveland's Stipe Miocic beat Fabricio Werdum for the UFC heavyweight Championship at UFC 198 in May.

We're talkin' about team championships here Sonny. But if somebody says, what about individual championship titles? it ain't about that, it's not about that at all. It's about team championships. (We all should know the Iverson "missing practice" interview)

after 6 games, none of which had a close final score, they were dead even on points scored!what are the odds of that?

I think the Warriors only lost 2 home games in the regular season, but lost Games 5&7 at home in the Final.Dream season ends in a night mare.

checked online…last time GSW lost 3 games in a row was back in 2013 with Mark Jackson as head coach.
that's pretty impressive.

should be interesting what happens in the off season with FA in effect.
there's possibility of Barnes and Ezeli leaving, which won't affect the team much should they go, imo.

there's talks of Kevin Durant joining GSW? I hope not. OKC came one game close of dethroning the Warriors,
(with a 3-1 lead in the series). GSW doesn't need much to improve its line-up…the obvious weak
spot is the centre position. not sure who's available. Bogut is still a good fit but injury prone.

wishing all on PERB a good summer.

The NBA sure needed a 73-9 GS team. How fun is it to root against a team that never loses. Kind of like how fun it was to root against the NY Yankees, NE Patriots. Its sure no fun to have everyone at 50-32 and no one to aim for.

Don't understand how Steve Kerr did not call time out towards the end and let Curry who was ice cold going for 3 play horse at the end. Should have called a play where if you did not get a good look at the 3 take it to the hoop, get to the line at least for 2 free throws. Curry or Klay do not miss free throws. To have Curry who was gassed launching exhausted 3s is not a good end of game plan.

Although I was and still is a big fan of the Warriors I was very disappointed by the way on how they lost. Nothing against Cleveland they deserved their first NBA championship but I just hate seeing LeBron win. I am not a fan of LeBron with his egocentric attitude. How the best team ever in NBA history blew a 3-1 lead in the Finals for the first time ever is unacceptable. They had 3 chances to close it out with 2 games at Oracle and lost both, not to mention the blowouts in Games 5&6. I have not been this disappointed since the Canucks collapse against Boston in the 2011 Finals. I am guessing Curry may still have some sort of undisclosed injury hence the poor shooting.

Totally agree Manni. I'm not generally much of a basketball fan (find it pretty monotonous, what with essentially the same thing happening about 100 times a game :) ) but that 7th game was amazing. That was one of the most exciting sport events I've ever watched. And that defensive play Lebron made was ridiculous. Unbelievable. He was awesome as was Kyrie Irving. Great game. Loved it.

Pretty impressive after game 7 no riots, no police cars set on fire, no stores looted or destroyed.

They're not classless like us Vancouverites - 2 riots, 0 Cups. Our city is the laughing stock of North America when it comes to pro sports.

Great NBA finals - not in terms of scintillating, nail biting, competitive basketball (except for Game 7) but because I can't stand the GSW and Steph Curry.
