Vancouver - Richmond
The results are based on the purchase of romantic novels, romantic comedy films, relationship books, jewelry and
sexual wellness products.
Not one of these lower mainland cities made the list. -- Vancouver, New Westminster, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey,
even though I think a lot of sexual wellness products are purchased in Vanvouver. I buy a lot of sexual wellness,
usually in 60 or 90 minute intervals - but only on days of the week that end in a 'y' - like Thursday ...
and I know thousands of other people also buy those wellness products.

Is fucking the Earth considered romance? :heh:
To me a Canadian should stick up for his country regardless, I see that as a poor attitude. As the old saying goes “divide and conquer” too bad people don’t realize what’s going on.

Agreed, since everyone who is driving a car, flying in airplane, turning the heat or the air conditioning on in their home or consuming just about anything sold in stores or online is "fucking the earth." Look in the mirror before you point fingers rlock.

Ft. Mac people are very romantic. I remember one gal from there who was awesome!

When people buy their homes, they move in thinking I'll put as little footprint , and pollution around me as possible.
The pollution they haven't seen in constructing their dwelling wasn't witnessed by them, so some don't take it into account.
The damage was done, when they where protesting something or other....there is no way you can come here, on your plastic computer, sitting in your home full of concrete, wood and plastic, ....and point the finger.
When children like Gretta also point the finger and say..." You've stolen my childhood with your pollutants "
They need to recycle their electronics, live in a tent without heat, eat raw vegetables, and use a Pete moss filled outhouse, for their rants to become valid.
We have always left pollutants, in the first contact days the first explorers noted in their diaries that village sites where abandoned due to depletion of resources, lack of sustenance animals, and pollutants from fecal matter....and the absolute stink of the ground from people living " off the earth"..... They also noted that the groundwater was witnessed to be leaching into waterways, and villages had to be moved upstream, for health reasons.....and these were a people who lived an " organic" existence.
Just because you flush it down the toilet....doesn't mean it disappears, it just is removed from your location....for someone, or something else to deal with.

Maybe you can tell that to your WEXIT buddies first. Or use your oil dividends to buy a sense of humour. Whichever.

You do of course know that "saint Greta" recently trade marked both her name as well as her movement of "Climate Strike" in a move that set up an Al Gore style foundation. The first thing she said after doing so was "it was not about the money" which means it specifically IS about the money.

I don’t agree with the wexit people but I can see why they’re frustrated with our current federal government. I have a good sense of humour. Don’t find what you say funny in any way shape or form.

Greta the Oracle of Doom is the latest false prophet. Any age has a religion, climate change is ours. Religions works best if based on fear and lack of tangible proof, and usually benefit the prophet and original followers.

Strange argument to make. By that standard, the Denial movement is actually the religion; it's based on fear, having no factual proof in its favour, and benefiting those who preach its dogma to stay in power.
They would certainly like to burn Greta Thunberg as a heretic !

That's a joke too.

Actually the very label of "Climate Denier" was coined by the alarmists. It is akin to being a "holocaust denier" and it is total BS when it is attached to people who are skeptical because of the lack of factual evidence.I am very skeptical of the climate movement and rightly so as groups like Extinction Revolution are based on Marxist Socialist dogma and that is the factual truth.

I do not deny in any way that the "climate" is changing as it has been changing for BILLIONS of years as this planet and all life on it has evolved. There is a massive piece of rock south west of Okotoks that no man made machinery on earth could move and it is called a "glacial erratic" that rock was ripped asunder by a 600 foot thick glacier with the brute force of nature and when that glacier melted and receded it lacked the strength to pull it back.

As I said the CO2 in the earth's atmosphere is 0.04% and the planet is directly attributable for 97% of that 0.04% and mankind is directly attributable for 3% of that 0.04%...this is undeniable scientific fact.

As for rising sea levels attributed to melting ice at the poles the winter sea ice in Antarctica is at the highest levels in recorded history. The northern sea ice is melting at a faster rate right now but it is not any less when it freezes again as is happening now as the earth is tilted on it's axis and Canada goes through yet another cold winter. and the sea ice in Canada is accounted for in physics.Good example is to take something to represent the ocean and then place a large piece of ice to represent the polar ice cap that "floats" on the ocean and the water level is displaced by it.If that ice melts do you actually see any measurable rise in the sea level...the answer is NO....basic grade school stuff here.

The whole "Climate Change" movement is a racket pure and simple.People like Al Gore and David Suzuki have made millions and now "Saint Greta" has joined them. The guy that "discovered" Greta on the very first day of her "Climate Strike" would have had to go 10 miles out of his way to work to "discover" her and the guy is a Public Relations specialist.Who has bankrolled her and her family?Hotels do not put up people for free!Catamarans do not come free nor do the crews who pilot them across the ocean and then fly back to their respective home countries on commercial airliners. As I have said before....follow the money.

A "carbon tax" in Canada will not lower emissions it will just tax people who dont want to freeze to death in winter and also have to drive to work to pay the bills. When the new environment minister Wilkinson was asked if Canada would buy "Emissions Credits" to meet Canada's pledge to the Paris accord his reply was "that would make no sense"....read between the lines and he is dodging the question. He wont say no as that is actually answering the question. He also wont say yes because then the Trudeau government gets pinned to the mat on the matter. This is reinforced by the angry discourse at the end of the last COP meeting held in Spain over the lack of creating a Carbon Emissions Trading Framework...again follow the money.

How many centuries ago was Galileo locked in his tower as a heretic because as a "scientist" he came to the conclusion that the earth and all of the other planets revolved around the sun yet the "consensus" of other scientists said the sun revolved around the earth. There is no "consensus" in science. It was a religious movement then and with regards to "Climate Change" it is a religious movement now albeit with a lot of people lining their pockets along the way.

I'm no scientist ...I'm just a Rancher, but one thing most with our occupation have is common sense.
I've been to the melting glaciers, I've talked with the Inuit, and heard their stories and songs of the timeline....they believe this all has happened before.
They say that the ice ages have happened many times, a great slow cooling, and great slow warming, so I questioned them, about how many times?
They took me into a place called The Valley of Ancestors...it was more like a long depression in the earths crust, as it was above the Arctic Circle.....they showed me fossils of Palm Trees.
I think there is much we don't understand, and probably never will, I'm sure we are somewhat harming the environment, perhaps some are right, and we are heading towards the point of no return....perhaps the others are right, and the earth can handle the pollutants.
I don't know...but no tax is going to control, or fix it. I do believe it is a ploy to gather billions, pulling at the morality of the human race , ....that is forced to consume resources to survive.
We have always been this way since the beginning.

It's been stated many times by scientists that the human race has never seen conditions like this. Not in any previous ice age or warm period. They know this, with certainty.
They can talk about survival in the past, but the past also did not have 7.5 billion humans. There is literally no precedent for what's happening to the human race right now.

I admire those ancient societies; for 10000 years or more understanding they were part of nature, living in balance with it, having respect for it, and knowing they could not do without it. But the loss of that wisdom, in the last couple of centuries, is part of the problem. Now we just consume without regard, pollute without regard, force the world to be shaped as we desire it to be, as if consequences for all that can never touch us.

The oil barons spin all kinds of conspiracy theories because they want to live forever in that consequence-free myth that benefits them so much. That's their motive.

The scientists have no motive to make up some sort of collective self-inflicted apocalypse, nor the means to "fake" something on such a scale. They are neither rich, nor powerful, nor does what they say make them popular because it's so damn bleak.

But the irony here is that the scientists are just saying what indigenous peoples of the world already understood - that we are just one part of life on earth, and life for people goes on only when we live in balance with the rest.

Galileo was a scientist, and used facts to prove something that could be proved just as true by any other observer. The "consensus" he was fighting against was not scientific; it was one invented by religious faith. They persecuted Galileo to make sure those facts were never able to contradict their faith-based system of power. The facts eventually won out, of course, but not without them spending many years clinging to their lies.

So you like to "cherry pick" your rebuttals.I see that you did not respond to any of the FACTUAL information I posted.I guess if you know you are going to lose you dont pick the fight.

With regards to the "climate change" hysteria it is a faith based conversation in that the hard left nut jobs believe in Gheia the Green Mother Earth and they are pretty much indoctrinated Marxist Socialists.

You speak of Greta Thunberg like she should be placed on a pedestal and worshipped but you are blind to the facts. She and her parents are proud shirt wearing members of ANTIFA and Saint Greta is in it for one thing and one thing only...the MONEY.

The sheer hubris of the entire idea of saving the planet from "climate change" is no longer anything to do with science or the fucking planet. It is now a political end goal and a fruitless one at that. The Trudeau Liberals Carbon Tax is a fucking joke and it will not reduce emissions as it just taxes Canadians for heating their homes and driving cars to get on with life.

Canada has it's own more direct problems such as homelessness/homeless veterans/working people who use food banks/expensive real estate and so on and so forth. You fix your own problems before trying to fix the "planet".

Hey here is a fun fact for you......do you know what the homeless population in California is?Most likely you dont! The homeless population in Calfornia is 600,000+ and the "skid row" area of Las Angeles is 55 SQUARE BLOCKS.I highly doubt Nancy Pelosi goes near that shit infested/used needle encrusted gangland of pestilence.....her lovely gated home in San Fransisco is not near that and she wont ever encounter it.Though her and her ilk are the ones responsible for it.

Please feel free to search the internet and come up with FACTS that dispute MINE with regards to CO2.....and then confront me with them.....please do.....but I imagine you wont because you know you will lose the discussion.

Its 613 km from San Francisco to LA. Greta has not been named a saint by the Catholic Church.
Climate change is happening. No one is sure on the consequences of this, but human involvement with burning fossil fuels is a major factor with the production of CO2. The sea level rise is based on someone calculating the melting of the north and south poles, and Greenland.
One thing that is being noticed is the thaw down in northern Canada (hint this is the way the rivers flow- downhill); the permafrost is melting, giving off methane, from decomposing animals/plants. The land is changing there, the roads all cracked up. See W5 episode.
Currently there is an increase in worldwide temperature of 1 degree Celsius. That 1 degree can now hold more moisture in the air, giving weather system larger sway, giving way to more devastating floods, rainstorm and hurricanes and typhoons. There is no doubt the weather systems are getting more extreme and more frequent.
If you do not believe in climate change, you should do an experiment. Fill up your truck with gas, go home and park in your garage, close the garage door and work in your garage will your truck is running. Depending on the size of the garage you should be choking in 20 minutes. Most people that work in a closed garage with a engine running with the doors closed are usually accused of trying to commit suicide....It also gets a bit warmer in the garage too.
Now ask yourself where you are going to find clean air with every T, D and H running their own gasoline engines...
Recently my sister's condo insurance went up. I'm not surprised because my insurance on my house has gone up at least 60%, with no claims. I would attribute this to flooding in Canada. Yes all those 100, 200 and 300 year floods that have occurred in the last 15 years.

If the ice at the North Pole melts it won’t cause the sea level to rise 1 mm because the ice is floating on the ocean. Same thing as if you leave a full glass of water filled with ice cubes sitting out so that the ice melts water level in the glass doesn’t change.
