He doesn't pay for anything anyways. He runs out of the joint before the bill arrives.

I like the fireworks... it's a cheap date that keeps the girl with you for a few hours under a perfect excuse. Plus its romantic which always helps.

Hey LAG...don't be annoyed. You can watch the whole show and at the end you can just walk away versus running from the waiter and kitchen staff!

Oh, wait, I supose you think they should serve food with the fireworks then....:D

Rejoice...after Saturday you'll never see them again.
I've lived in Vancouver for 12 years and I've heard this every single year, ever since it was initially threated that Benson and Hedges wouldn't be able to use it to flog their merchandise.

Every year it's something else, yet every year they keep coming back.

Talk about a broken promise. I keep wishing they would axe the fucking things.

I know I'm supposed to talk about what a great event it is, and how it brings the city closer together, how it's the one "event" left in "no fun city." It's the cultural event of the summer!

After all, what's not to love about an event that brings a few hundred thousand sunny suburbanites flooding into the downtown core?

Just curious.

Those who are complaining....did you move into the area before or after the fireworks became an English Bay event?
