Just curious on what the bondage enthusiasts like to use to tie up their favourite subbies. I've used mostly nylon because it's relatively cheap and easy to get a hold of from Bondage Depot. The problem I find with nylon and cotton is that they are a little too stretchy and can become slippery when attached to a bound sub. I've just recently got a hold of some organic hemp which I'm starting to like since it has little stretch and will actually shrink when wet.

I like silk because you can use it later or during the bondage to gently slide across the the body.
Nothing feels better than a cool soft tickle across a nipple or any other sensitive area and silk proves to be a good stimulator.

I know a guy who does nothing but silk scarf bondage. Almost anyone who has attended public bdsm events in Vancouver has met him. It's not practiced by very many since it's very difficult to do safely. If done right, it's actually a fun way of introducing newbies who are unsure about bondage.

Silk scarves sound like fun, but silky nylon is my preference. Its cheap, soft and washes well which works for me and the gentleman below

Depends on what I'm doing. Hemp or cotton or poly for cbt. Silk for body, japanese silk rope preferably. Poly or Hemp for severe restriction. Hemp for tying to an object.

Seriously, though, I've had my wrists bound with raw hemp. It's not as scratchy and abrasive as some people think it is. It makes me wonder how much processing you need to really do to hemp? Now I have a bunch of sisal that was bought to make a cat scratching post. I'm tempted to pervert it for other uses.

Personally, I like leaving teeth marks.
I realize with pro-dommes, it's generally inadvisable to leave any tell-tale signs with most clients.
