It's actually an old problem with leolist and many popular websites that preceded leolist. It seems more and more verified ads keep appearing on Leo that are completely fake pictures. How are these getting through so easily these days?
The way I see it, this is the main function of PERB.Guys, please learn from others mistakes.
Cheaper for customers too! It's cheaper to advertise here on Perb and on Tryst then on leolist.
When I'm available I spend $75 on ads on LeoList every 3days. That's about 3-5 times the amount more then Perb asks for 10days ad.
Fuck I love Perb ❤
cc is a country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Cocos (Keeling) Islands, an Australian territory in the Indian Ocean. Far away from the prying eyes of LE in Canada.Internet says LL is based in Michigan. Very few details about owners etc.
The site seems mostly automated and obviously nobody actually verifies anything.

Bits and pieces also seem to indicate a tie to Holland/the EU on some of the whois information. Their terms page says Budapest. There is also Michigan noted in Crunchbase.
I think it's a matter of the sheer number of jurisdictions being involved. Company perhaps based in Michigan, legal offices in Hungary, IP registration through Holland with an Australian domain. Where do you sue and who and how? I think it's like a series of shell companies so that it's difficult if not impossible to ever track the real owners down, because they clearly make a living off prostitution. I mean, look at the rest of the sections of "leolist", they are never really used, although the are present for appearances. At least Backpage actually had other listings similar to craigslist, but by the end nearly all of the revenue was coming from escort ads. They were stupidly based in the US and were transparent enough the FBI could track them down and seize the site, the servers and the offices. No way that happens to Leolist, even if the Canadian government really got motivated to try.TIL
But seeing that it comes from an island that belongs to Australia (a five eye member country) why would websites like perb and leolist use that instead of some more random country?
