Well, looking at the video when the snow machine comes tumbling down after he finally quit bouncing, and how bad of shape it already was.. WTF was he thinking he was going to accomplish by trying to stop it?
It only lead to another tumble run for him. I would have just let it keep tumbling down the mountain till it got to flat ground.
Did he actually think he was gonna pull the cord, get it started, and go for another thrill ride?
Buddy, the machine is DOA, save yourself.

Ever wonder why health care is so bad?....it is because of idiots that harm themselves of their own choice and then plug up the system....."Dude it was so totally cool how I raced down that trail on a mountain board....sucked that I wiped out and ended up with a compound fracture.....no big deal though as I just got shot full of morphine in triage......there is some old guy beside me that has been here for 3 hours after he had a heart attack....sucks to be him I guess...anyway I have got to get back to checking out the next burning man....I just have to go to it....gonna leap through the fire whilst I am shitfaced drunk and high on shrooms" (sent from the I phone)

Like I said...he almost made it.

It looks like this run is established to set you up to exit through the chute at the top...he just didn't keep it straight coming out at the top.

BTW, my fave part is when he first stops sliding you can see his buddy sliding by, but he is just looking for his sled. Maybe they weren't really close friends? Although it was his buddy who finally stopped the sled from rolling all the way down the mountain.

This is not nearly as dangerous as "Highlining", where you ride straight up an outrageously steep slope to see who can get the highest line in the snow before you have to turn back. This is what causes lots of avalanches. Maybe I will see if there is a good video example to post.
