The researcher was feeding the lab animals with very high doses of crystal meth not MDMA - the pure from of ecstasy. It was originally designed for psychiatrist to get their patients to open up. Thats why it is also called the "love" drug, you feel like opeining up, hugging everyone around you. You are also more susceptible to your surroundings especially music which is why it is aka the "dance" drug. But most importantly, users report feeling euphoric.

Lady P. I am a commercial grower and I have seen some the chemicals that are being used on the herb.
AVID is some real nasty shit,it is used to control spider mites.It is banned in Canada,the US, and Europe.But every grower I know use,s it.You can purchase it in almost any grow shop.
I switched to Organic two years ago and only use natural"Chemicals".

Ecstacy was legal in the US until 1983 when it was re-classified by the Reagan White House as a Class A narcotic, but before major scientific studies had been done. Because it was now a narcotic, it was illegal for researchers to do these studies and the world is still lacking truly comprehensive controlled studies. I had a friend from Universtiy in San Diego and his father was a leading drug researcher (and user) at Standford in the 60s, 70s and 80s and was at the time a leading expert on MDMA and also a common user (just stating a fact without endorsing or condeming).
Wilde was right it was used by pyschiatrists up until 1983 and many swear that they accomplished more marital counseling progress in 1 or 2 sesssions than in a year of vanilla therapy.
It makes you feel super euphoric by immediately releasing all serotonin that the body the body has stored up. The catch is that with repeated use it also damages your bodys natural ability to produce serotonin and it is not really known how permanent the damage is. This results in a frequent E user's need to take more of the drug to achieve the same euphoric high that they will never be able to fully achieve after the first few times. Long term use can lead to massive mood swings (I've lost friends over their psyiological / psychologic metamorphosis). Immediate risks are from increases in body temperature that can result in rare cases in death (drink 5 times the amount of water you would normally).
If you have an addictive personality, you do not want to start with this.
Consider these risks before trying and if you still are interested make sure you know the source and are with the right people in the right atmosphere. Start with a low dose (1/2 a tab) and wait for 30-45 min before increasing. Drink lots of water, then drink some more. Bonus if you are with a group of women on E as they should be making out with eachother in no time (hopefully you don't have a guy - bi or not - try to make out with you so you may want to be extra aware).
