Economic crash in China — good time to poon?

Context is this video:

The supply of SPs in China seems to be greatly exceeding demand. Presumably this is due to a flood of newly-jobless women, all looking for ways to support the higher standard of living they had grown used to rather than returning to rural life. Many of these women are out on the streets of cities, desperately vying for men's attention. And there aren't that many takers — because many of the men who would pay them are now jobless too!

An economist would say that you should expect, when supply of a good or service exceeds demand, for the price of that good or service to fall.

I feel like the price of sex in China should soon be plummeting — if it hasn't already. Chinese SP prices might soon approach the lows of Thailand or the Philippines. If you like Chinese girls, it could be a great time to visit and take advantage.

Thoughts?

Interesting. Absolute tolerance would have to be well established for some time before I’d go to the mainland for sex tourism.
If enough of these ladies end up in Hong-Kong or elsewhere with more relaxed laws that could benefit customers for sure. Maybe even as far as here 🤔

I think you are a sad and pathetic guy if you are excited for woman to be in economic troubles because it means you can pay for cheap sex.

let me guess, you are one of those passport bros?
I am excited that a country filled with the ethnicity of women I'm most attracted to, is going from a place that's entirely unaffordable for me (or most middle-class men) to have a sex vacation in, to a place that's practical for me to have a sex vacation in.

I would expect that even these "crashed" prices, will still be prices that would be considered reasonable in most countries. We're not talking "people are starving, you can buy a girl for a potato" prices here. It's just that China's previous SP pricing was completely unreasonable — IIRC a floor price of $400 wasn't uncommon in some cities. (This is why we saw a dwindling number of Chinese-citizen SPs working in Canada over the last 10 years, compared to SPs from other countries — it was less and less worth for them to come here, relative to the money these ladies could still make in China!)

There was a glut of fictional wealth-creation in China over the last 10 years — surging book-values of investments, that you could get loans based off of — created by a bubble of unsustainable investments in real-estate, infrastructure, and manufacturing capacity build-out. These SPs' prices were so high, because they could focus on taking clients only from people operating within that bubble of fictional wealth-creation. But that bubble has popped — the Chinese stock market has tanked, taking the book-value of these peoples' assets along with it — and so the economic distortions that that bubble created (incl. SP prices), are now on their way to being corrected.

And that's not a bad thing! When an economy-wide bubble pops, people's savings decline, but their cost-of-living falls too. Over the long term, the a post-bubble country reaches a new equilibrium where once again everyone can afford everything. The only difference is that it becomes a lot more affordable for people outside that economy — you and I — to access the goods and services of that economy.

It's called "The oldest profession" for a reason, mate.
It's what people turn to when there are no other marketable skills to be offered, or the market is oversaturated with the skillsets people possess.

Not sure how I feel about your post I think @Americanboy has a very similar opinion as I do though. Just feels like a less exploitive version of the way Crassus would try to get someones house. Just don't take it as a complement since that was the richest man to have ever lived
