Do SP's pay taxes?

Considering probably 98% of clients pay cash, I highly doubt SP's claim much if any income. Should the govt start targeting SP's as income tax avoiders...wouldnt be very hard to track them down and make an estimate on their earnings. For example, lets say an SP charges 250 hr and sees 3 clients a day, 450 cash per day x 5 = $117,000 tax free...right up there with your avg Dr. making around 200k a yr, but they pay a ton of taxes...
Can clear about 100 tax free but always claim some to avoid looking out of place. Remember you guys can see us for years and we only have so long to make it. If I have 10 good earning years I want to clear a million from having all you guys pawing at me. I deserve it and then some.

It's like any other business

There are smart people and there are stupid people. A good SP should be able to handle 3 calls a day, 5 days a week, 3 weeks a month, or 45 calls a month - that is doable and does not cause her any undue stress and will keep her fresh for her next john. Based on a quality girl in most Canadian Cities charging $250 and hour - do the math and you have $ 135,000 per year - this is very doable and is a minimum. They can earn as much as $216,000 per year if they move up to 4 tricks a day @ $300 - also very doable without burning out. Now - these are top girls I am talking about -but it is only a beginning. These "top" girls with little effort can be taught to walk, talk and dress. How to interact with senior executives and government people and in general become ho's to the rich and famous. Once they set their sights higher they can then become the $1000 per hour "call girl" and there are lots of these. These girls will earn $3000 a day in their home city and up to $5000 daily for travel - the numbers are huge.
The smart ones pay their taxes, take excellent care of their health and spend a shitload on clothes, makeup, hair, nails, skin etc. Their operating costs are huge. But give me a quality girl who is 25 and she will be making $600,000 annually for 10 -15 years depending on how well she cares for herself and how quickly the first millionaire falls in love with her. Remember - it is a business and there are good business people and bad ones.

Lots of good comments and some very poor ones. How many of you are actually tax lawyers or accountants or have atleast been audited? I've been audited twice in my life and it's not fun. It is basically you having to prove your innocent. CRA can come in and make all kinds claims and accusations, do "means" analysis, net worth audits or whatever, to see if your income justifies your lifestyle and basic expences. The first time I was audited wa s15 years ago. I had a few vending machines as a sideline. Great, cash business, no reciepts, right? Then the CRA auditor (a CMA himself) walks in with a very close estimate of what they figure the income from my machines to be. Don't be fooled, these people know their stuff and have unlimited resources. They even had their investigators doing surveillance on me for a couple of weeks to track my business. Good thing I was honest with that part.
Why I'm saying this is because none of you ladies should be fooled. Be very careful. Get the advice of a good CA, and do things right. If CRA wanted to audit you, they could come up with a very close estimation of your income. That's not to say that you can't "cook the books" a bit, we all do but don't be greedy or stupid about it. What saves most of us is that we are all relatively small fish and CRA is a self sustaining agency. They look at the cost:benefit ratio of an audit beforehand and often it's not worth it to audit us, even when they suspect cheating
All it takes is a phone call to the Special Investigations Section from one disgruntled person and that could be the beginning of some problems for you. That's what happened to me the second time. An angry ex who knew too much.

Not true on a large scale about how busy these companions are.

I have met very few women here where I am located - it just happened that way.
But most ladies I met in person are the type you are describing. $2,500 for a dinner date, up to $5,000-8,000 per day. I spent 2 years now communicating with them, and met a bunch in person.

They are indeed beautiful, intelligent, and impressive. And on average, see 2 - 6 clients a MONTH!
An 300 per hourl girl can make a lot more per year than a 3,000 per day date courtesan - because the latter chooses to be more exclusive.

And please, don't make judgements about that a woman can or cannot do without burn-out, nor what she should do. Those issues are up to each individual. Some can. Others are different. Their reasons for entering and being in this business are different. The smart way is one that is optimal for the individual involved and her goals and circumstances.

Hi All.

I thought I could revive this thread because I have some questions regarding taxes.

How do I go about paying taxes?
Should I worry if I have unclaimed money in my savings account?

I would like to start claiming some income so I can eventually purchase a property.

Can anyone offer some advise on how to manage this 'unclaimed' money?

It might have been better to start a new thread since this is so old.

However, on the bright side, I saw a post by one of PERB's best posters, even one who many despised but he always had a an intelligent thought to add: Georgebushmoron. He is long gone, but still remembered by some.

Your location says overseas so you are probably not a Canadian resident, so the details will depend on where you reside for tax purposes, but I will provide the Canadian perspective.

I suggest that you report your income as self-employed income (which it is after all). You could classify your business activities under massage therapy or some other such thing. You may also deduct your expenses such as supplies, telephone, advertising, web site, business use of home, vehicle, etc. Assuming that you report at least 30k of gross income (before expenses), you will also have to register for and remit HST.

Here is a link to Canada Revenue's page on how to report self employment income:

http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/bsnss/tpcs/slprtnr/menu-eng.html

Go see an accountant if you are uncomfortable in handling this yourself.

I know this is a bit off topic but

250/hr
3 clients a day, assuming each stays for an hour

Why is that $450/day and not $750/day? (3x250=750 NOT 450)

$750 *5 = $3750/week

$3720*52 = $195,000/yr NOT 117,000

I don 't care if the numbers are realistic or not, please get the math right.
