Nope :D
To have interpreted the post the way you interpreted it, I would have had to write "If you have this function disabled (comma) then send us messages (semi colon) we can't reply to them."

Ahh, the power of punctuation is amazing!
(Ever read Eat Shoots and Leaves?) :)

Let's make it simple - Members must keep their receive private messages function turned on, always.
If it's ever turned off - regardless of the reason - you are in contravention of Perb policy and subject to an immediate ban.

Please don't make us have to enforce this rule.
That's ridiculous. If I am going to be away from the board for any length of time, I'd like to be able to turn it off. That way anyone who sends me a message will know I did not get it and that I am not ignoring them.

Whoever sent Emmanuelle a message but has theirs turned off is just not aware . So now the rest of us aren't allowed to use the function? Instead of letting this thread educate, you make a new rule.

You're kidding right?

Sydney xo

I think it has already been a perb rule for as long as I've been here that you have to have your PM function turned on.

If people pm, it will just fill up. Getting a no access message doesn't do much other than cause them to post a thread saying "Sydney, turn your pm on!" which serves no purpose if you're not here to see it lol.

The mods like to pm warnings before they ban people, so people have an opportunity to stop what they are doing. If they choose to ignore the warning, so be it, but it isn't like they are going to post a thread saying "Attention, XYZ, turn your pm on; mods are trying to reach you discretely"

The option available is "Receive Private Messages only from Buddies and Moderators". And it's an option I switched on a long while ago because I was receiving too many unwanted PMs from whacknuts and posters I dislike, some of which were harassing in nature. This option still allows Mods and Admins to PM me, so I don't understand this new unheard-of rule by Moderator-1.
