Question to vancity_cowboy if I may, aren't all these girls technically illegal? If they're here on tourist permits I believe they're not allowed to work, right?

not all have working holiday visas, some are here on non-working tourist visas - others on pure student visas (these last visa holders are in the minority in the micros, but past busts have revealed a few). some are here illegally but the micro operators know that illegals are a really big no-no so they are not common.

Sorry to hear of the crackdown on the Korean micros.I myself have seen Chinese/Taiwanese/Korean gals at my fave place and by far the best service and most VFM were the Korean gals....though the rates never change.Hopefully this lil storm cloud blows over and the Korean segment of the Micro industry recovers....still wont be as good as Sugarland though

I wish it is true, but from a documentry I saw, it doesn't work that way. What the deal is that it provides a speedier way for Chinese tourists to visit Canada. Now for a Chinese to qualify, he/she must have a certain income, a professional career or an established business. Sorry man, it is unlikely your sweet, young China girls will qualify. In fact, part of this CTD deal IS to prevent poor Chinese to come to Canada to work on the underground market.

what about a student visa?......they could enroll at any of the million or so ESL schools in van..... do a tour at a mp or micro and head back to china when their visa runs out

Good point. I did hear on the forum that many of the Koreans are here on student visa. i actualy encountered a TW girl is here on student visa and she is actually taking classes.

From what I can see so far, most China oversee students who's parents got shit load of $$$ or their mainland bf with their parents $$$ will get them their LVs or gucci. Thats why they don't are not likely wanting to get into the SP type of work. I guess if you want good asian sp, I guess macau is the way to go.
