presumably this would only normally happen if you were replying to threads they started. And that would be about 5% of your posts, so who fits that profile.Avery said:My post count dropped by around 150 today. Who had all their posts deleted?
150 wow, mine only dropped around about 8-10, not sure what my exact post count was. Hardup got banned today and the BCMod deleted his threads.Avery said:My post count dropped by around 150 today. Who had all their posts deleted?
BcMod said:I have banned Hardup and deleted related threads, or where I could, edited the posts to remove the offensive comments or quotes from to the deleted posts.
This is not a forum to be vulgar or to attack others, whether they be other pooners, the SP's (in general or any one in particular) who provide the services we seek.
Grow up and express your thoughts with a little more civility or be banned.

Yesterday was the first day you looked at the Admin Updates section, because until yesterday it wasn't visible to anyone who wasn't a mod or an admin. I know because I stumbled across it yesterday, got curious, started reading it, and quickly realized that it included things that the general population of the board shouldn't be reading. It seems that threads/posts that get shut down and 'deleted' by the mods actually got moved to that section. Allowing people to read them after they've been 'deleted' would obviously be counter to the whole idea of 'deleting' them in the first place. Naturally, as soon as I realized this, and realized that the section must have been accidentally made visible during the board upgrades (you know, the same ones that are responsible for changing the pm allowance over the last day or two), I let the mods know (they might have already known). The temporary solution that they had to use was to actually delete all of those 'deleted' threads. That means that people's post counts went down suddenly depending on how many of their posts had previously been 'deleted' by being moved to that section. Mystery solved!totravel said:It looks to me like what they did was finally adjust each members post count to reflect the threads that have been deleted over a period of time.
I saw one member who has had a post count of 8 up until yesterday (but only 1 post came up in a search) now has an accurate post count of 1. The thread that the other 7 posts were on was deleted about 3 weeks ago.
I don't pay much attention to it, but it looks like I'm down about 25 posts (3 of them were on the above mentioned deleted thread.)
Another strange thing I noticed was the threads in Admin Updates are all gone today. Yesterday was the first day I've ever looked at that section. There were a lot of interesting discussions between Mods such as Marvin's banning, unbanning, then rebanning.
Oh, and the mailbox size went from 30 down to 20, and now it's up to 40.
