I have nothing against Town Shoes . . . it just depends on what sort of styles you're looking for. Town Shoes may be a good place for casual shoes but I certainly wouldn't recommend you buy any dress shoes there unless you have a desire to wear pure crap on your feet.
Where else can I go for shoe shopping? What do you think about those English L shoes? I mean, design/look (since you don't know about English L quality anyway).

Mark Nason boots look like motorcycle boots and it seems they're very good quality considering their prices. They have a punk rock/rock and roll attitude to them. Go for it if that's what you like. I personally do not like this sort of style, though.
Yeah, not my style either. Mark Nason boots are similar to English L shoe I like but English L shoe is way more subtle. What do you think?

Magicmysteryman, please clear out some space from your private messages box so I can email you some pertinent shoe information so you can make the ladies cream their panties when they see you wearing Sperminator-approved shoes.
Yeah! cleared my inbox. Just keep in mind, I am about 25 years old and I wear semi-formals to work (well, I wear jeans at-least 3 days a week). So, the shoes don't have to real formal dress shoes at all. And I am quite skinny.

Which city do you live in? Vancouver? How much do you want to spend? If you're in Vancouver, then you definitely have more choices than I have in Edmonton. Do some wandering around town and see what you can find.
Vancouver
Semi-formal refers to, technically and traditionally, a tuxedo. Informal refers to, technically and traditionally, a suit. Formal refers to, technically and traditionally, a black tailcoat worn with a white pique wingtip shirt with white bow tie and white pique vest.
Comprende, compadre?
In that case, my dress code is 'casual'. Most people wear polo+jeans or shirt+jeans. Some people wear shirt+pants (I know there are different kinds of pants so I am not going to attempt and identify the kind of pants they wear. I will just describe it: pleat-less (flat front), from GAP, Banana Republic etc. -- usually black, dark gray, blue-black, cream and sometimes pinstripes).

I'd love to dress like Spermie for about two hours, twice a month but I don't think I could handle the dedication to lifestyle required. It would be like putting on a play. It's fun but it's not my real life world. That said, I do like to "look good" but in a far more casual (read inexpensive)way and I'd need an army of helpers just to keep things on hangers. (not exactly a neat freak)LOL

Noteworthy trend: proliferation of 'slim fit' suits, shirts, and ties by brands like CK, SeanJohn, Reaction, Hilfiger, etc.

I thought the day would never come. Fellow 36 regulars (and short) rejoice. ;)
