That’s not true.
There’s a finite amount of arable land and it is being over run by residential development.
The Fraser Valley used to be all farms, now it’s all subdivisions. Same with the strip from Arnprior to Montreal, or Kingston to Windsor.
In the north the climate becomes hostile. Remote areas are difficult and costly to provide with health care and policing.
Flying food into tiny villages is insanely expensive.
Most of Canada is uninhabitable.
