OK now not the kind that u like to dip in to, but I stumbled across some kittens. I was walking home to my house when I noticed a mother sun bathing with all her kittens nuzzled up to her.. I couldn't believe my eyes there were like five little kittens.. well not that little as they were about 8 weeks I could tell by the size of them., but none the less they were absolutely adorable. I approached them and the mother walked away from the kittens. I tried to pet her but she spoke to me in such as hissing tone that I knew she was having none of that.. so Then I turned my attention to the kittens... and tried to approach them, but they bolted under the house, as there was a hole on the bottom and they crawled right under the house.. Next thing I knew my but was right up in the air, and my body was pressed against the ground,, dirt all over me, peering through the hole at the little fuzzies. I couldn't control myself and briefly wondered what would happen if the mother saw what I was doing. I thought some how if I meowed long enough that they might come to me.. I just wanted to hold the little guys. After much meowing I gave up, got a hold of myself, brushed the grass and dirt off of me and went home. Does any one think it would be invasive for me to knock on the door and see if they are keeping the kittens or selling them??????????

I'd say go for it...

You're a pretty girl, not a creepy guy. ;)

If you knocked on my door and had a smile, and just said "Hi, I feel silly for knocking on your door, but I just have to ask if you're keeping or selling those darling kittens..." I would be more than happy to answer.

Its not invasive at all. :D

thanks for the in put

I hope that no one saw what I was doing in their yard and told the owners about the random girl on ground  and I wondered the same thing about the kittens if in fact the owners even know about them.. I think Im going to give it a shot.. I mean the worst thing they could do is shut the door on me right !:)

ahh I love kittens, and cats for that matter. Before I adopted my newest two additions to my feline family I was going to by a Bangel kitten.

HHMMM.... My 2 cents for you.Llamas and cats

Having owned a cat for about 20 years until she just got too sick.

You are one person who would do well in looking after kittens.

Go for it. What is the worst that could happen? they turn you down and you walk away.

If you really want one go to the SPCA and get one there.

If in the future you do move out to the sticks (the Valley) you will have plenty of space for a whole zoo of animals. Just like Michael Jackson!!!!

A sex/ and animal farm. HMMM.... Petting farm....

OHHHHHHH Yeah Llamas too!!! We all know about that!!!!
I better end it here before I get in trouble.

I say go for it. It's possible that the mother and the kittens are strays and the house owner doesn't know about the kittens. By the sound of their reaction to seeing you approach, it's likely they are not accustomed being around humans, let alone being touched by them. It may be difficult to turn them into an affectionate house cat. Anyway, in any event, I'm sure that if the house owners know about the kittens, they would want to find an appropriate home for the litter.
