Thankfully, the last time I got tested about 5 months ago, I came back clean. But similar to LAG, I think I have banged over 100 SP's, kissed many of them and probably had over 40 BBBJs.

It'd be interesting to see just how low our blood supply would be if everybody that donated was a " George Washington." The questions are just a way to weed out high risk individuals, before investing the time and money of taking the donation and doing the testing. Do you really think that Blood Services expects/believes everybody is going to tell the truth when questioned ?

Since donating blood is voluntary I'd hope that everyone is honest about the questionaire.
If I had a choice I'd prefer donations from individuals who were in a long term stable monotonus relationship.

There will always be a time lag where the problem first shows up and is identified.
There is a lot of medical procedures where blood components are mixed in from many donors and it takes just one person to taint the entire batch.

I'd be interested in an explanation of why you would lie on the questionaire to donate blood :
Is it : I'm high risk and want to share that risk with everybody.
Is it : Donating blood makes me feel good and I think that even though I'm high risk I am not affected by the risks.


That is why even if LAG passes the current batch of tests the questionaire still should exclude him from donating.

If given a choice of blood supply what would you want :
Blood donated by prisoners in Arkansas
Blood donated by street people in East Vancouver
Blood donated by LAG and other sex tourists
Blood donated by the Amish

Just go the free std clinic on Davie and Bute. You can give a fake name, 100% confidential and they test you for EVERYTHING. The health nurse here on Perb works there and is very non-judgmental. Just be honest about your activities to get the best care possible.

I'd suggest you actually read the posts in order.
We are at a point where there is a suggestion that "testing" can be done thru a blood donation.

Your point about the math seems to be more of a reflection of your ignorance than expertise.
If you can re-do the math then by all means do so.
