I absolutely love South Park. Being a recent South Park watcher, I'm so disappointed with myself for not discovering how funny it is earlier. The guys that have created South Park are brilliant, they have a warped sence of humour and I just love how politically uncorrect they dare to be. :D

It's all good, PD

heh... good stuff. I have a couple of favourite lines (usually that crazy scientist is involved), and one favourite episode (save the whale!).

Likewise. MS and TP don't worry about walking the line of being politically correct the piss right across it. While it doesn't have quite the same subtle cultural refernces as the Simpsons you do need to pay attention to catch all the different stabs and jabs.

There are some other TV shows I regret not catching onto sooner. Homicide, didn't start watching till season 3 and then by season and then by season 6 it had gone to shit. High Incident, great show I caught mid-season than then they were off the air. And of course Prison Break.

Their last episode was pretty lame-the hockey coach and the dying kid one. The Paris Hilton episode was the best commentary on her by anyone. I love it when they ridicule celebrities like Sally Struthers, J Lo, Streisand..."Her nose was so big you could land a stealth bomber on it!"

I believe the first clip is from the first South Park movie. The song was first aired on South Park's first Christmas episode. As great as the show is the best season is the first season.

I turned my boss onto South Park about three months ago. It never occurred to me that anyone with a functioning brain wouldn't have been a dedicated fan since its inception. He's busy catching up with ten years worth of episodes using Shaw's TIVO equivalent device.

My personal favorite episode is the one about Joseph Smith, who founded the Mormon faith. You can't help but watch in astonishment that anything so egregiously bogus (i.e. totally made up by a clearly unbalanced man) could have become, some 180 years later, the fastest growing religion in the world.

The episode where Timmy (in the wheelchair) and Jimmy (on crutches) duke it out pushes the boundaries of political correctness to an area that only South Park would dare to go.
