I guess I'm screwed then... Lesson learned! *not everyone as the best of intentions* lol suppose I'm still getting a hang of these things....

On an on topic note, I always love a $5 Footlong! $2.50 for lunch, and $2.50 for dinner... THANK YOU SUBWAY! Lol
Yeah, after a few hours (24?) we can't edit our posts...

I did Red Burrito again (with a lovely friend) last night...surprised myself and ate the whole thing! Don't be fooled that it's cheap though. Including a bottle of Dasani, the burrito-in-a-bowl cost us each $11.35...yikes!

Is it?? Me leaving downtown is like an expedition to Africa! I've only been once or twice.... so I suppose my frame of price reference is poor... Thanks for enlightening me! Do you have a favorite?
I can't say I do. I try different places and each have their own signature dishes. I would suggest picking one and go from there. You can also try the food court in Yaohan Mall on #3 Road as well or Aberdeen Mall if you want Asian fast food. However, keep this link below as a reference. Lots of restaurants are cutting corners and you want an idea to see how they're doing in the Food safety area: http://www.vch.ca/your_environment/food_safety/restaurant_closures/

And speaking of downtown. I have yet to try that middle eastern place on Denman at Pendrell (near Davie). God, there is always a crowd there and their souvlaki looks good and cheap!

Awesome. Thanks or sharing that, and for that excellent link. I'm sure it will come in handy. I'm a super foodie, and as much as I love Yelp, they don't see in the kitchen... Also, yes, that restaurant is awesome! The souvlaki is super good, along with the Tzatziki and stuffed grape leaves! Definitely go for it when you have the opportunity!

No problem...I am glad you found the info useful :)
In addition to Yelp, I often use Google reviews, Urbanspoon, and even TripAdvisor to get a better feel of a restaurant. I then use my "spidey sense" to weed the bullshit reviews from the genuine. lol

That's a good policy... I just had lunch @ Mom's grilled cheese truck across from the gallery... It's about $8 but it's definitely more than enough for 2. I shared with a girlfriend and OMG MAGICAL CHEESY OOOOZEY GOODNESS.....Nom Nom Nom..... :thumb:
