Assuming there's no restrictions, the # of infected goes 6, 36, 216, 1296, 7776, 46656...

Admittedly I didn't read the link to the CDC article/report. But is a scene from the movie Contagion really a good example of a "legitimate" primary source of, well, anything? I'm chuckling thinking about what some of my old uni professors would've said if I cited a movie scene in a paper - even if said movie scene was factually correct! lol Now, if you're saying the CDC article cited the movie Contagion - gawd help us all lol

No the paper actually does not quote the movie. I think OP included the scene to illustrate what does this really mean.
