I just do mine at home. What part of city do you live in. They just opened up a jiffy lube and DIY carwash up by the Guildford VW on 104 several months ago.

Well, obviously I'm not in the city the poll refers to

and none of the options apply in my case.

I prefer a place in Regina where they hand wash my car. If all I want is a simple external wash, I ignore the menu they try to push on me and assertively request "just an external wash, please" and it costs the same as any touchless place and my car actually comes out CLEAN and hand dried too! :)

Makes touchless car washes a HUGE waste of money.

I don't use any of those. I just use a bucket of soap and water at home. Gives you a better chance to do a thorough job, as opposed to popping toonies into a timed wash.

best car wash -do it yourself

I usually go to one of the Wash World or other independent ones. You put in 5 bucks and it provides soap and water I usually do it myself .Sometimes if I am lazy or do not have the time I usually go to the touch car wash at Petro CAn

If you drive a POS and it don't matter, take it to what ever car wash that
don't matter.

Otherwise, only choice is bucket and soap.....Have fun !!
There's always the chance that a nice lookin' chick walks by and wants
to help you out too !........Yah I know, dream on.

Used to take it to the Esso but found it was totally aggravating to pay $8.99 only to sit in a lineup for 30-45 minutes, spend 5 minutes in the car wash, and then observe that the car was only marginally cleaner than it was before I wasted 30-45 minutes and $8.99 on a commercial car wash.

A bucket, sponge, hose, two squirts of dish soap and 20 minutes of my time gets the car a lot cleaner... and I don't have to gas up first to save $3 off the wash ;)

I use the Esso in Lynn Valley, found the $10 wash does a better job than the $8 or $9 wash. But still every 4-5 washes take it in for the power wand wash, scrub it down with my own soft bristle bush and then rinse.

The touchless ones just don't do the job and I still have to vacuum the inside and do the windows myself. Personally I take my car to the hand car wash at the entrance to Granville Island (M & J Car Wash or something like that) It has been there since the 60's. The people working there look somewhat questionable but they do a fantastic job inside and out for $13.:D

The other good one in Vancouver is also on Second, about a block west of Main St. Inside and out is about $15 for mid sized cars.

If you're going to a wash that uses the old rotary brushes, save your money and run your own weed wacker over the paint job.....

I don't use any of those, Oasis on Kingsway does a good job inside and out for about the same price. I tried the Esso once and I was surprised how bad a job it did.

Either that or a pair of tight cut-off jean shorts and a white tank top with no bra underneath (which of course becomes completely see-through the first time the water hits it) :D

Just kidding...
