well, if a team has to rely on Luongo to really bail them out, then how good is these Nucks then? Nuckleheads, give your heads a shake.
Umm, did you somehow miss the part where the Canucks outplayed the Habs for the entire game? The Habs won because Halak bailed them out. Now I'm not going to say that the Canucks haven't had to rely on Luongo bailing them out in the past - every team has to rely on the goalie to bail them out sometimes. BJhunter, give your head a shake.

actually, I agree with BJ Hunter...

Vancouver, with the possible exception of Toronto, is the most dumbass hockey town in Canada...

not to mention the pathetic homer media in this town...

Any splashes at trade deadline? Or just a little depth to keep them in the 1st to 2nd round.
If we ever get out of the 1st 2 round we need a true quarterback on the pp, which no one will give up.

yes, Don Taylor is one of the many pathetic homer morons in this town...

a few others, Ed Willes, Jason Botchford, Ben Kuzma, and anybody else who writes a column in The Province, which is nothing more than an in-house newspaper for the Canucks...

Iain McIntyre of the Vancouver Sun...

the dolts on 1040...

this by the way is not an all-inclusive list...

keep up the good work BJ Hunter...

Which means you didnt get any, and if you did get PMs its more likely they were telling you what a clueless dumbass you are.
actually Ferris, he's a lot closer to the truth than a lot of people would care to admit...

sure he stirs the pot now and then, but don't we all...

in principle, I think he makes some very valid points...

it is a strange hockey town when it comes to thems Canucks...

Some people, like BJH for some perverse reason revel in the Canucks failure to perform and cannot enjoy it even when they are on a roll, just sit and wait for the wheels to come off so they can say I told you so.

And Im just wondering, whats the point in thinking that? Its people like that I thoroughly detest.
It's called schadenfreude.

.

I would think that it would be better and more enjoyable to be able to ride on the bandwagon once in a while rather than be continually crushed under the wheels.
How can it be enjoyable riding a bandwagon w/ stupid Nuckleheads fans who only been watching hockey for 3 years and think the Nucks are the a great team? ever listen to the talk shows and hear the crap there? Worst part is, they know NOTHING about the rest of the NHL, the system, heck, some dont' even know the playoff format. that's what i refer to as the Nuckleheads.

it's kinda funny, I do respect some of the pooners who've offered intelligent replies in terms of stats, etc., but not necessarily their opinions. maybe I can ride the bandwagon w/ you guys. But i lose respect when those 50% of nuckleheads thought the Nucks had turned the corner after winning 2 straight games back in Feb., then all of a sudden 77% thought the same too after the 3rd game (sportsnet poll, by YOU nuckleheads who call in, vote online, whatever).

I dont' know why i'm repeating this again, but sure every city has their bandwagons, but this city is the ABSOLUTE WORST, and I'm a CANUCK FAN, I see this w/ my own eyes, been living in this city for 30 years.

Ask yourself this, who is a true diehard that you know? Looking at yourself in the mirror ;) Then compare yrself to a Leaf, who have been losing for so long, and say, a habs fan, who lives in the past, and then think, what have I gotten myself into, at least they've won in their past, what have the Nucks done?

Then, yup, they're off the bandwagon....AGAIN.

the thread that keeps on giving...

personally, I think the Canadian media, in particular, the Vancouver media, play a huge roll with getting the fans worked up and down on the bandwagons travelling in different directions. They are just playin us.

your mom says hi.
BJ why is so hard for you to accept that the canucks do have fans that are not bandwagon jumpers?

i will give you this though, this city is very cliquish and there are plenty of these bandwagon fans, but not everyone is a freakin bandwagon fan. get over it, these posts are getting quite old.

you continue to bitch about sundin's salary but is it your money they are paying him with? did they take that cash right from your pocket? no they didn't. the canucks went out and did something that everyone criticized them for not doing, they made a move, they got the best player available. who the heck else was out there thats better? can you name anyone?

i acknowledge that this team has some work to do before they become what i feel is a legit stanley cup contender. their play is fairly inconsistant and certain players seem to be prone to fairly large brain farts. they can also be very sloppy at times and their play in the second period i find tends to be lazy on occasion. baring that, they have won 9 of their last 11 games and thats a loss percentage i am willing to live with. one thing that concerns me though is that they have not managed to beat san jose yet this season.

looking at the positives though, most everyone is pretty healthy or coming back off injury and are now starting to fire on all cylinders. the coach actually has the luxury of benching players that are not performing and replacing them with solid back ups.

every team out there has their faults not just the canucks and for christ sakes man, if you're a fan of the canucks like you said you are then just fucking support them and not take every opportunity to tear them down. that kind of fan is almost worse then bandwagon fans. i'm sure everyone here knows the canucks have thier faults and we don't really need someone rubbing our nose in it all the time.

i will admit that i for one did not have a lot of faith in what the team was going to do this year. on paper it just looked bad. however i was pleasantly surprised. even though i was a little shaky on the team, i still watched every game i could and cheered for them.

so if this is your team?????? like you say it is, then just support your team. also supporting your team doesn't mean that you can't disagree with moves they make or calling a player out to an extent if you feel he isn't performing, but just take it in stride dude.

these tirades you continue to post and lumping all fans together in one basket as bandwagon fans got old long ago.

p.s. however for some stupid reason i still find the "does she suck good cock" comments funny. i can't explain it, i guess its a part of my juvenile mind that refuses to grow up.

At least you acknowledge that, but boy, some Nuckleheads really think this team can challenge the Detroits, San Joses. Boston and Philly will just ram these soft Swedes and that Finn into the boards like those poster ads.

I dont' see why everyone's so sensitive about me saying negative things; they're facts, opinions, all nicely displayed ;)

sure, 9 out of 11 is excellent (there, I said something positive) but it's only temporary; we know the history and reputation of this team choking near the playoffs stretch.

i can never forget a few yrs ago, when all they had to do was win 1 out 3 games, against the Sharks, just to squeak in, and Thornton just destroyed them twice, very badly. The worst part, was their lack of effort, desire and passion.

Absolutely; this media is full of homers and bandwagons, read the papers now; they're just praising Vigneault and Gillis for being so patient despite the January slump, of 10 straight home losses.

Remember that, Nuckleheads here? the same ones who were calling for Vigneault's head b/c he was "line-shuffling too much" LOL.

You guys are a joke, a disgrace to any hockey fan. Look at the Toronto media; they're tough on those crappy Leafs, but the vancouver media, being the good ol' western laid-back we are, just makes this team better than it really is, and the bandwagons' hearts will be crushed, yet AGAIN.

Heck, even the so-called regular fans will be disappointed.
