Canada post & postal codes

To keep things brief, I ordered something online.

I filled out the shipping & billing info, but when I wasnt paying attention,
I accidentally put the postal code of the billing address into the shipping address as well. (The 2 addresses are different)

Will I still receive my package? Has anyone else ever done this by accident?
Not sure if it makes a difference, but the 2 addresses are only about 6kms apart

Postal code is just for them to sort mail into the right piles.

The canpost customer service rep didnt seem too confident that I would be getting my item due to my mishap

I get mail a lot of times with the postal code crossed out and canpost put the right one on....

though I guess I can't say it's 100%

Well I went on canada post's website and clicked "find a postal code"
It asks for the address, so I entered in my shipping address.
Sure enough it returned with the right postal code

I wonder if they use this at all..
